Did I say we didn’t? The point is that this election wasn’t some sort of massive rebuke to Clinton or the Democrats.

I think we should remember a couple of things:

I don’t think it can be overstated enough just now massive a conflict of interest it is for Trump to have his children, who will be running his business interests, be a part of the transition team which will select members of his administration.

If, as Bernie says, people were sick of seeing billionaires not pay any federal income taxes, then why the hell did they vote for one???

But if people actually paid attention to Hillary’s policies they would see that they would help the white working class. I hate it when people say Democrats abandoned the white working class because their policies benefit that very group.

I understand your intent with this article but it is pointless.

Democrats don’t ignore the working class. Their policies are designed specifically to help them. White voters gave more power to the very party that has fought every single one of Obama’s attempts to improve their lives.

Trump is strongly anti union. This election was about race. Clinton won the working class vote. It was the wealthier people who voted for Trump.

Except the core Democratic Party views- expanding access to healthcare, raising the minimum wage, reducing the cost of college, affordable childcare, etc. all benefit the working class regardless of race. The voters just don’t know or don’t care about this.

This isn’t a matter of just having a different opinion, it is one side that recognizes that in no way is a racist, bullying, sexually assaulting, clueless demagogue fit to be President and another side that gleefully cuts off its nose to spite its face.

Have people just forgotten that Clinton won the nomination by more than three million votes? Nothing was handed to her. She earned it fair and square.

I still can’t fucking believe people fell for this con artist. The markets are already tanking, Mexico is hosting an emergency meeting, our allies are freaked out-and he was just elected a few hours ago.
