Mc Larens is/was a 24h of LeMons team. I'm near certain this is one of theirs or an exquisite troll. They did another in the form of an older E Merc a couple years ago, same sort of deal.

Man... You haven't experienced pucker factor Zulu until you've experienced that, it would seem.
Colyer is one hell of a guy, a kick ass showman, and a damned fine pilot.
In two simple words: Hell, Yes.
If I were Jezza, I'd be damned proud. Not for what I have in life, or what monies I've made; but that I have the trust, confidence, and friendship of two other people so deeply that they would strongly consider not doing something they have done for nigh on 12 years.
Right?
Thanks for the insightful overview. A couple things I'd not considered there. Well stated, sir.
Aw further discussion below as to the whole of the topic. There's a huge amount of history surrounding it, and I'm not speaking purely in terms of simply changing the constitution. Post WWII US influence in Japan, to this day, plays a large part in their politics. As such, without US approval they're not going to do…
To a certain degree, that's what I was getting at with regard to the constitution. Not so much the constitution itself and the ability to change the resolution therein, but more that the U.S. would be on board with it.
Unfortunately, it's between you two, me, and the rest of the intarweb, now. Good job, that.
Tyler- isn't the US the one that really holds the cards in terms of the Japanese constitution and its provisions in this case?
The US, Britain, Greece and, Netherlands all operate the Apache in maritime environs. As far as I know the Netherlands has been doing so for far longer than Britain or US.
Senna V Prost Suzuka 1988. Lap 27, Senna has come from 13th place at the start and passes Prost for the win and the WDC.
A polished turd, whilst shiny and bright is none the less a turd. In this case, it's more of a matte, in fact. No less smelly, mind you...
Oh, they're insured against race damage, believe it. I'm not going to claim I know how much they pay to insure them, or the per race rider that's carried, but I know you can insure a Jag E type racer against race damage.
TLDR. Must have, pictures were enough.
Pretty cool. But you can have it. Even if it were 150 shades of white shit. You can have every last bit of it.
When I worked in CA, I got to go there a couple years running. Loved that show.
First- Thanks Linus, for your insight, your service, and open and frank answers. This is a seriously kick ass read.
Can't, for the life of me, figure out why they don't use a Merc Sprinter or some variation thereof. they'd have to save a shit ton of money on fuel alone, not to mention longevity and reliability.
