I can't find the NHTSA rebuttal now, only the one that requests exemption from advanced airbags. There's some other info on Saferoads.org about the CCX and the Agera.

I dunno if Remault can be credited or not, actually. There were marine Diesel engines using pneumatic camless engines in large configuration prior to the downsized V6 of Renault. As I understand it they adapted a design from Man and used a hydraulic camless as the model. I guess it's semantics on one level and that…
Jasus, Torch. I feel wholly inadequate and ten kinds of despondent now.
Is it astounding, or genius, or mind blowing? No, But what it is is an Audi R8 V10. Reliable, well built, economical, fast where it needs to be, fat where it needs to be. Yet, it's incredibly refined, incredible to drive, and if it's anything like years past the live sounds can't possibly compare to a recorded track.
They've had a similar issue the the GT3 pop up, albeit far less publicized and far less common. Supposedly one of the ancillary bearings gets hot enough to ignite.
There's a G Wagen running around Omaha from time to time that's done right. It sits on 18" MRW beadlocks with, I'm pretty sure they're Dick Cepek shoes.
The single greatest winter hack I've ever come across is this:
Holy hell, that's what that is! I traverse California from Edwards to Barstow and north into China Lake working as a contractor. (Nothing fancy, mind you, I work in forestry and silviculture). I'd seen this a handful of times and wondered what the hell it was. I also saw it relatively recently at Offutt and thought…
I disagree. They slowed it down last night and it showed both instances that he does push her around, there's definite contact in both cases.
I just died a little inside. Knowing I'll never have the shot at owning one...
For all its foibles I still love Indy. The disrupted, oft renamed and rebooted series is still one that shines with a veritable tonne of talent. It has so many drivers that are genuinely great drivers that, that fact alone, makes it worth it.
It's those moments that cause me to fall in love with the show all over again. It happens once or twice each season, and it brings back the thoughts of why we watched in the first place.
It will be a victory any which way you look at it. With the upgraded weapons platforms and the increasing capability of the BUFF in pinpoint tactical missions, it's among the best options of a modernized Air Force.
Isn't the nickname of Iceland somethIng that translates loosely to hell on earth? I seem to recall reading that somewhere.
No questions asked, Caterham Superlight. I've been fascinated by The 7 for as long as I can possibly remember. Having driven a 500 a handful of times, all it did is reinforce that desire.
I hope to hell they're on the grid and they're capable of performing. Nothing in F1 would make me happier this year, outside of Bottas laying in a store of points that puts him in contention. There I said it.
Kinda had a little morning chub there for a few seconds. Then you had to go and ruin my day by telling us all that, once again, it isn't real. Is nothing tangible anymore? Evil, evil man you.
That, sir, is a damned fine read. Well thought out, well reasoned and beyond rational. I, for one, cannot argue with it in the slightest.
Love the Veyron. Love the marvel of engineering and the exercise.
Geeezus... Talk about pucker factor Zulu.
