Huh. I stand corrected. I was told by someone at Mclaren they retained them. Maybe he meant that they’re all in their possession. I know in their book it says the same.

No, sir. McLaren has retained ownership of all of their cars. None are owned in private collections.
That’s south of Livingston, have seen multiple accidents involving pulp logs in that stretch of road over the years.
Poor Chris Harris... I’m betting Eddie Jordan is still pissing himself about it, and Harris will never hear the end of it. I’ll bet there’s reference to it during F1 podium interviews this year. I’m betting Jordan somehow profits from it, as well.
Well. That sucks. I don’t even have a snarky, snide, or witty comment for it. It just sucks.
HP is how a car goes fast. Torque is how quick it gets there. So not entirely incorrect. But semantics are fun!
JeV had raw talent but was a piss poor development driver. He had a hard time providing reliable data from the drivers perspective to engineering. He was not, then, able to translate that into being well rounded.
I would kind of assume so, but not entirely sure.
It’s an honest to goodness cultural thing for the Scots. Goes back to the battle of Crecy, the British Bared their asses, then promptly got their asses handed to them by archers.
Look at it this way, Stef, you possess a piece of history that no other racer would be brave enough to conquer. Or crazy enough, for that matter.
Dammit... now you’re just feeding my envies even further.
Hamilton is actually pretty adept on a motor-pickle. There are several videos of him around rodding the hell out of a super bike at a TT somewhere across the pond. He might actually fare reasonably well.
Sweet hell thats terrible. I hope the kid can walk, let alone drive again.
He’s young, massively inexperienced in the cars, and hasn’t handled anything nearly so powerful or unruly. It isn’t a debate of whether or not he deserves the seat, and surely deserves no comparison to Crashdoor Maldonado. MAL had years at the helm of F1 and still couldn’t keep from binning a car a week, at least.…
Uh, yeah. I get that. Hence the complete sarcasm intended in my response.
Why not just let them race? I mean, hell, controlling speeds via restrict or plate is boring. Give them a 10k rev limiter, and let shit fly.
This. 100%. F1 sounds of an angry bunch of dyson vacuums.
Stef- first of all, balls out coverage. You done better than good! I mean it.
While he’s done a lot of good in forty years, he’s done a hell of a lot of damage, too. Forever hanging license fees over track owners and organizers, for instance. How many circuits are Tilke designed now? Think Ecclestone didn’t have a hand in that?
How about they look at service retention as one of the fixes. The people with their ass on the lines are paid as poorly as anyone in the US. Give the, back their benefits and retirement benefits and the reenlistment numbers will soar. We are seein the highest rate of turn in ages, for all branches. The Air Force…
