Cool J, definitely deserves.  I think his “I Need Love” is a lot more groundbreaking than people give it credit for, just to mention one aspect of how influential and groundbreaking this man has been.  True definition of a rock star.

naw it’s cool.  we’re just talking.  historical evidence aside means, assume that there were a people who overcame slavery in history.  A template.  or better yet.  Is there any other examples throughout history that could be studied.

Historical evidence aside, wouldn’t you say that the book of Exodus and Leviticus are the creation of a cultural identity from an enslaved people?  Either way, seems like commemorations and traditions should be established and honored for events like this Black Wall Street Massacre, Birmingham Bombings, Red Summer,

It’s definitely interesting to read how the tradition of the Israelite’s stripping the Egyptians of their possessions, high-tailing out of Egypt and to this day still giving them the biggest middle finger in all history, every year in celebration.

So this begs the question.  Do we have traditions and holidays, however, they are not of our own, rather a celebration and commemoration of Judeo-Christian traditions.  These we celebrate while neglecting our own?
