I don’t really participate in Twitch chat, but I’ve heard from people who do that the closest real-world analog is cheering at a sports game - You’re not saying anything of value, you’re just making noise with everyone else for fun.

It sees like he’s someone in ‘The Miserable Mill’ so perhaps Charles, Sir’s partner?
My middle-aged parents who don’t play video games loved it.
You’re totally correct. I wanted to point out to Darion that there was more wrong with Gilead than just the force pregnancy, but I went about that the completely wrong way, and I shouldn’t have made the implication that it’s in any way right. My sincerest apologies.
You’re absolutely right. I was trying to make concessions to Darion so as not to be completely aggressive when making the argument that Gilead’s an awful society, but as you and several others showed me, I shouldn’t be giving his argument any legitimacy, and I apologize for even suggesting he was in any way right.
I apologize, of course it would be awful. I meant to impart to Darion that the society in The Handmaid’s Tail was way worse than just the forced pregnancy stuff, since obviously they don’t think that’s a problem, but I shouldn’t have implied forced pregnancy is in any way ok.
If it were just a matter of women being forced to have children, it wouldn’t necessarily be as awful as it is. They could use in-vitro fertilization or something. In the book and presumably the show, though, fundamentalist Christian terrorists have highjacked the government, and society is based on warped biblical…
Oh wow, I didn’t realize she’s the same person who did that.
If Overwatch had all of its personality stripped away and was left with only the mechanics, I feel like a lot of people wouldn’t enjoy it as much. The characters and lore are just another way to make things interesting, although it definitely feels like the world’s being underutilised in a MP-only game.
Ever heard of the novel Feed by MT Anderson? It covers some of those questions in an interesting way.
From the article: “...Germia crafted a costume of Pharah’s Anubis skin...”
It sounds like a fun game, but I really just prefer single-player, plot story-based shooters.
I don’t know if it’s accessible to you, but an orange, red, or yellow wig might work. Alternatively, cut a piece of cardboard out, with a hole for your face and a flame pattern on top.
Peter would probably empathize with her nerdy, scientific personality too.
The characters and lore seem really interesting, but I just can’t get into a multiplayer shooter.
As of December 2015 Vine has 200 million active users, 2/3s the population of the US. It’s definitely stupid, but it’s also very big.

The mute button’s what they did. And people have described how real roller coasters or horror games feel in VR, why wouldn’t groping have the same potential response, at least at an instinctual, base level?
It sounds like you’re invisible for them, and they’re invisible for you. So less like a banhammer, more like a mute button.
Why’s that? Neither party is kept from playing the game with this power, it just means they can’t see each other.
