Trump was pushed to condemn the white supremacist terrorists; he waited an obscenely long time to do so after shamefully equivocating Saturday. And then, once the populace forced his hand, complained that he was not receiving enough credit for having done the right thing.

The Grand Jury gets to issue subpoenas and take testimony. If they find cause to act after they have all the evidence they need, they will. I’m optimistic about the fact that they’re sending out subpoenas.

Right. It’s truly shocking how both VF and Jolie agree on what happened, yet Jolie sincerely thinks there’s nothing wrong here because “we were totally kidding!” She’s so confident the children were aware of everything while ignoring the poverty they faced every day before they met her and the casting directors.

Angie made a huge mistake treating Vanity Fair like People. She responded like a celeb and underestimated the magazine by trying strong arm them. I love her but this entire debacle has been an excercise in hubris.

Absolutely. I didn’t mean to imply otherwise, although I see how it could be read that way. That a grand jury was convened is already a huge win - that was the point that I missed making.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders does have a relatable style. I relate it to some of the Catholic nuns at my school back in the 50's and 60's: Sarcastic, angry, judgemental, short tempered (and physically violent if no one was looking).
