Why are you all being so petty?
Why are you all being so petty?
I’m having a really hard time and can’t wait for SNS. Can someone help me with political savvy?
Imagine how terrifying it is for your colonies, and I don’t even mean Puerto Rico. I mean your actual colonies.
And the world.
Why are you all doing this? Stating facts? That’s what it comes down to? Here I go...https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/may/25/us-honduras-drug-enforcement-administration-shooting
That’s eating too much. After my second experience of being sexually battered while a student at albeit a different university institution in the US, you’d be lucky to see me swallow more than 430 calories a day.
My brother withdrew from MSU after seeing me experience the trauma of a serial predator whose crimes haunted me from university - and whose enablers destabilized me well into law school - while in Ann Arbor. This school is sickened by a culture of complicity and he and I are happy that Poland has been able to embrace…
Yeah - I’d be surprised they granted him the grounds to appeal, but, then, again, he’s a white Olympian cis-gender male.
My brother attended MSU, after seeing I had attended a USA college and then a law school nearby - he came back to Ann Arbor complaining about the hostile work environment for female journalists each day, after a two hour commute.
I’m so sorry that this happened to you, but I applaud you for being able to obtain this job. It gives so many women who have betrayed by even the media structure to have hope. Thank you.
Of course- women report the crimes committed against them to no avail, toward their detriment in seeking jobs in the future when their cases are publicized enough...not so much so that their predator is fired but enough so that future employers know they will not tolerate sexual harassment.
Nailed it!
That’s honestly too bad. Kimmel’s mocking of Melania did reveal a disgusting underbelly of racism, as did his unveiled Man Show clips. This was a classic “let it all burn” moment for a lot of us, WOC.
Oh, NOW the White House wants to revoke funding to Honduras? NOW?
I find it fascinating that, instead of critiquing a policy that both Obama and Trump heralded at the border - i.e. mass-deportation, at which Obama excelled (he created the human border in Mexico against Central America, for Christ’s sakes) - you all are having a ball at fat-shaming the latter.
The problem is that Congress has been deadly silent on matters of life-and-death in at least Honduras, the weak scapegoat that he’s chosen to lash out against most strongly. I lobbied, called, broke several heels running through Congress over the past few years running between offices seeking help on the Honduran…
Oh, NOW the White House wants to revoke funding to Honduras? NOW?
Gosh, don’t I know it. You’re certainly right there!
This is at once bullishly stupid and offensive that I don’t know where to start. Most of the Hondurans fleeing into the US right now are fleeing a political situation which was directly created by the US’s decision to certify both that (1) Honduras was abiding by the preconditions set forward in the US appropriations…
After months of hardcore grassroots and door-to-door community organizing, things in my home country are finally happening: https://www.buzzfeed.com/adolfoflores/a-huge-caravan-of-central-americans-is-headed-for-the-us
