I’m 33yrs old and every single C-5 I’ve flown on are older than me. I’ve got 4000+ hours on them, A,B, and M model. We are planning to keep them flying into the 2040's... Anything is possible with enough money. They also have a partially completed airframe in mothballs... It won’t be super difficult to salvage parts

Girl, preach. I fly for the military... when I have to board a civilian airline I understand “Falling Down” and that new movie “Unhinged”. People just don’t have patience or common courtesy anymore.

I had a trailer tire come off on 95S near Fayetteville... Lug nuts sheared (time and stress and probably over torqued) and I was so happy no one hit that tire and wheel as it went careening off into the median. Nothing on my trailer came loose though, because I’m not an asshat who drives around with unsecured loads.

My hope is they stick the asshat with an improperly secured load with a massive ticket. Having been struck by someones unsecured shit... I have no sympathy.

Orrr we could incentivize domestic oil production again to get prices low while simultaneously pushing automakers towards higher MPG’s and EV development. Orrr the dumbass could let us finish the damn pipelines to make it cheaper to get oil into the country.

This is a good car and it has a K24 with a MANUAL!!! Like God intended. If I was in the market for a good daily this would be on my short list!

I was reading an article recently about a new nuclear waste storage facility where the waste was put into copper coffins then encased in bentonite miles deep. It’s a good read.

Might be the only thing I agree with you on. That said, the livewire is pretty cool, waiting on a few more electric bikes to come out before I jump into this pool.

I’m seriously considering jumping into a reservation. It would be an XLT ER though. We go camping a lot but don’t ever go too far from home. Would be sweet to run the camper from the truck!

Honda motors are incredibly tough... Younger me also torture tested quite a few. Even ran my CR250F quad for a mile with NO oil after I smacked a rock and dumped it all on the trail. Made it to the trailer and after a quick JB weld at home she held oil and is still running.

Air Force Safety guy here... Can’t see this as anything other than intentional. The only bright side here is that the passengers most likely didn’t feel it.

I’m eagerly awaiting the Morning Shift to bash Elon for not having adequate safety protocols preventing cars from going airborne at the hands of idiots.

Yeah we’re looking at getting an international next year in lieu of buying a house in California... I’d rather spend 130k on a camper than 700k on a house.

ANY vintage care would look great inside this. Not just a Porsche. My only modification would be to knock the Porsche logo off the side and drive it to all of the vintage races around the country.

I switched to lithium’s in my sport bikes years ago. Never had any problems. My current daily is a Honda Fury with a 4yr old battery... When that one gives up the ghost I’ll be going lithium in it too!

Spare Jeep, kill the rest of it.

Conveniently left out the C-5M Super Galaxy... Ya know the one that has 86 different aeronautical records... I may be biased though.

I can tell you when the engineers get there... They’ll write this off and salvage what they can. This won’t be a priority but when Ukraine is back to normal (whatever that may be) they’ll get the other one flying.

I can tell you with almost certainty that the Airframe you see here will never fly again. They will most likely salvage everything they can from it and complete the other partially built Airframe they have in mothballs. The fire that tore through this is unrepairable on an economic scale.

Might be easier to source a FWD diesel from some random European car/truck/van? I’m not a fan of the AM general diesel.... Having spent summers of my 20's on/under them in 100+ degree heat.
