More to it than that, but yes. The C-5 has had a few gear up landings in its past but all because the gear literally wouldn’t come down, not a crew error.

Yeah the fuse plugs in our wheels are designed to melt above 800 something. The jet we where on had the new to the C-5 carbon brakes, they’re extremely effective. I didn’t go into crazy detail above, I can nerd out in private lol.

That picture is my two favorite airplanes. I wanted to be a pilot so bad as a kid just to fly the Blackbird. Sadly I went the enlisted route and got C-5 Loadmaster, still not a bad gig.

My first gen Ridgeline has a large blind spot there now that you mention it and I look over my shoulder. Doesn’t bother me to much cause I have large mirrors.

It’s 4WD in the Super Duty.... AWD is a completely different story.

I will bet that it’s RWD only with adaptive dampers and bigger fancier brakes  than the standard SRT. AWD with that kind of power is asking for warranty issues.
