Hard to blame a GM who doesn't want to rock the boat by making this pick.

I can't even wrap my mind around this "distraction" idea. 4th quarter, Cowboys down three, Romo rolls right, sees Dez Bryant wide open in the end zone. Instead of throwing, he hesitates, thinking to himself "man, I wonder if Michael Sam is going to have a dick in his mouth this weekend?"

I agree with you that they'd suck it up, but I also think that reporter X from SI is too much of a pussy to actually do it, just all like mainstream media mouthpieces.

After reading the Outsports article, I don't think so. It's clear his sexuality was well known on campus and it seemed like on the verge of breaking nationally. The SI article, if you trust it, says that perhaps 25 or 27 teams were already aware that Sam was thought to be gay. If anything, making the news story happen

Well luckily just like in real life, those fucking Boomers are finally making the world a better place by starting to retire and die. When you first said coaches I thought "oh you're right on about that," but the longer I think about it I'm not so sure. The trend seems to be younger and younger and more and more

I'd say you have about 60-40 where 60% of teams are a cultural cluster fuck and have little to no control over their players. The other 40% control the milieu enough where they could pretty much dictate that Sam's sexuality is off topic at work. These guys do get paid in the end.

That's exactly what I was going to say, more freaking players for the Steelers or Patriots who will lay the smack down on players if they rock the organizational boat.

This is the test, right? I mean Sam is the defensive player of the year in the top defensive conference in the US, if he doesn't go in the first or early 2nd you know what that's about.

Maybe, I bet he gets 2 games, which is what he deserves. You can't go up in the stands but it's clear something really over the top was said because Smart goes from sitting on the ground shaking off hitting the basket to eyes as big as dinner plates ready to fight every cracker in the section.

The United States and Russia are in the middle of a brewing economic battle over control of natural gas to Europe. You shouldn't be surprised at the amount of propaganda flowing from both sides.

Oh I see what you did, VERY clever.

Actual W-L record is not really a valid way to judge it though. NFL schedules are unbalanced and they only play home and away every 3 years. Home field is too big an advantage in the NFL. Yes it's an exaggeration to say they would probably win 80 of 100 but 50 of those games are in Denver in an actual scenario.

I agree, I wouldn't argue that those 80 of 100 games I thought Seattle would win would be 30 point blowouts, in fact most of them would be quite close. When a team is better than you in all aspects of the game it's just nearly impossible to beat them unless a QB goes absolutely nuts. And while Manning wasn't good

It's not that the result matters, but how the game was played. Broncos were manhandled physically in preseason. That's not because one or two starters didn't play. I saw the Packers in St. Louis in preseason and the Packers looked terrible despite being up two touchdowns at half. Their poor offensive line play

First half of Mockingjay is in the can, the rest is apparently nearing the end of filming. They will probably use a body double if they need a few more shots.

I'd pretend I was outraged that stations would choose to run an ad for a criminal organization of fraudulent assholes, except that I'd already seen BofA and Chase ads that day.

Look, I thought that assertion was ridiculous two weeks ago and thought that Denver would win on a neutral site. My far more football-fanatical friends assured me I was an idiot then and Denver only looked good because they were playing weak competition and that the Seahawks were vastly superior. I still don't think

I fucking hate the Seahawks and I think they would easily win 8. Denver offensive line has cleaned up against weak AFC defenses. They were completely annihilated in both matchups this year vs. Seattle. (Yeah I know one was preseason but whatever)

Skittles has a branding issue whenever they spent all that money on those fucked up commercials and still the first thing that comes to mind when I see Skittles is Trayvon Martin.

These teams could play each other 100 times and the Seahawks would win 80+ games. They played twice this year and the Broncos vaunted offensive line who has dominated the weak AFC defenses were annihilated both times. The Seahawks were clearly the best team in football this year and while it was a fluky game, it also
