I get it, sort of.

He doesn’t sound like a xenophobe. His beef is with the government, not the people. Might want to be a little more accurate when making such statements.
It’s definitely ambitious to say the least. I don’t think battery technology is going to be the issue. I think it is going to be infrastructure and consumer adoption that are the biggest impediments. People are going to wait till the last minute to put changes in place to adapt to EV charging and then run around like…
Your assuming what is on the market right now is state of the art. As you pointed out current technology is about 5 years ahead of what you see coming to the market. So, it really is like 10 years... but it just started 5 years ago and is ending five years early.
Stolen Tacos are perfect for shipping overseas and mounting artillery to.
I don’t blame either of them. Business 101, when you are constrained you pursue the most profitable option.
Sure it sucks, but pre-orders are BS anyway.
So much time reducing the sound for occupants. Wind tunnel testing, baffles, sound deadening materials, bushings, engineering costs, material costs, and then when they hit the jackpot and have a nearly soundless motor they spend more engineering money, add more material cost, weight, and for what?
If you take the fare we used to pay back back in the 80s and 90s when there was more room provided and adjust for inflation your looking at the equivalent of comfort plus (or a little more) in todays dollars/cost. So, for those that demand “legislation” or “to go back to the good old days”. That just means fares that…
Yep, there are issues with making it a convertible that Chrysler cannot reasonably address infernally. Could be safety/crash issues with a potential conversion. Could be an MPG issue since convertibles usually suffer a little. Could be a performance issue (chassis flex, etc.) that Chrysler didn’t want to have to take…
Don’t electric companies essentially get subsidies too? At least generation is (somewhat) competitive now.
I believe they were calling out hypocrisy.

The issue is that startups rely on increasing revenue to cover up for poor margin and all of the expenses that they have to cover in order to grow. They aren’t very efficient and that is fine as long as their revenue growth outpaces their spending and borrowing. So I suspect they are targeting revenue growth…
yeah, wow, that’s a big difference. If Sales were down 45% that is a whole different level of bad.
“knowingly” isn’t provable if the recall is completed. If you have chosen not to get the battery replaced under recall... then maybe. But then it’s really your fault anyway at that point.
Practically speaking most fires are covered by a combination of auto and home insurance. So all that a person is giving up is the right to sue to recover any deductible or shortfall as a result of coverage caps.
It depends on the amplitude and also any resonance. A lower frequency could be much worse then a higher one.
my guess is that Bolt sales have been lower then expected (probably due in part to the battery issues) and now they need to move some units to pay off tooling and R&D costs. They are pushing out cars on the newer ultium? platform starting next year so maybe trying to squeeze out a bunch of Bolts before it is “old”…
I’m buying one in the next month or so. Price is hard to beat and if there was an extra 7500 that is a slam dunk.
