It IS cheaper, and comes with heated and cooled seats, heated rear seats, and some other things that you won’t find in comparable ICE vehicles.

Not on the bolt, pricing is set for 2023 and they don’t make moves in MSRP once it is announced. Now, if demand goes through the roof dealers might try and scalp some profits off the top.
The Bolt price before the rebate was gone in 2020 was same after it was gone for the next 2 years.
the purchase cash allowance on 2022 models is because they announced the MSRP of the 2023 models and it is 6,000 cheaper then 2022 models. So, instead of having 2022 models sit and eveyrone wait a couple months to buy the 2023 models they just give a discount on the 2022 models to bring the price down.
I think you missed something...
really you should just go to the mall or into a suburban subdivision and just blend in with the rest of the Raptors that are around.
A lot of fun for the money here. Lots of bolt on goodies to help with the HP. Or, with the 6 speed you can drop in a steeper rear end gear and still have enough headroom for highway cruising at decent RPMs.
A little of both.
“It does seem like a pretty strange scheme to be involved in. “
regen only adds 5-10% range on average in hilly stop and go driving, much less when you keep to the highways. While that’s something, I don’t know that I would call it critical in an aftermarket application.
I think there is a use case without regenerative braking. Ideally you would have it to capitalize on efficiency, but it’s not necessary. Maybe I just want to give my car the power it finally deserves and don’t care about efficiency.
Jose made a similar quip in the post and I don’t think he was joking. I should have responded to him directly.
I too am very interested. I’m a weekender that would like to try an EV conversion but I don’t have the time or knowledge to do a full fledge bespoke build with what’s currently on the market. Something closer to plug and play might make it possible for me. Even if I have to do a little customer work, that’s fine.
This is just an initial test case to get their feet wet and see what it feels like to have an EV. More likely to be used for recruiting purposes. Any vehicle the military would buy would be significantly different.
“light” is referring to the “duty” as in light duty to heavy duty. Hummer EV would be considered light duty.
No, that’s just an excuse. Some of the exterior physical characteristics are driven by aerodynamics. But it doesn’t completely dictate such boring looks. The Mustang Mach E is not too bad, more aggressive and more visually interesting. Some body creases and flair here and there helps. Better wheel and color choices.…
no, please do not copy Tesla, their designs are so boring.
Window tint. Looks good and more importantly keeps it cool. Amazing the difference on a summer day. I got the tint that has some sort of metallic composition for extra heat reflection. Throw a sunscreen up on the front window and no more 150 degree car interior when you get in. I should have done it on my prior 2…
the outback is a scary place, special kind of person that wants to camp out in that.
cool stuff, funny to see them use a VW Bus shell. Old VWs are the opposite of fast.
