My favorite thing ever said about Chris Pine was in a webseries: "Chris Pine… is just a guy… with a face." This is very much how I feel about Chris Pine. And to a lesser extent, all the other Chris's.

The backlash is going to be epic and amusing, until the backlash itself becomes as annoying as the initial overhype. AWARDS SEASON!

Of course Hollywood is full of elitists. Millionaires tend to be elitists. It's just that most of them tend to be of the the right wing variety, rather than the left wing variety.

Meyers has been great in the past year. Shame he doesn't get as much credit for it as he deserves.

Wait. What did he actually say? I'm not watching, and people seem super annoyed.

That and episode 9 were probably my favorites of the season!

It's like the polar opposite of campy and fun. I think it has its merits, and I don't think it's necessarily faking it's better qualities, although I know what you mean by that, for sure. But it's certainly also not the best show that aired in 2016. Not even close.

It's:

It's a bit of a mess in terms of theme, it's very slow, and it's sometimes repetitive. On the other hand, some of the dynamics between the 'characters' are fascinating, it's stunning visually, and the acting is quite strong. And it's oddly tense, considering it's, well, basically history, and you know what's going to

Well, that was an inevitable win. Can't believe people actually thought This Is Us might take it.

Let Fallon be Fallon.*, **

It doesn't like, pick up. If you were bored by the first five, you'll be bored by the last five. I found it oddly hard to stop watching even though I spent most of the time ranking the order in which I hated the 'characters' the most. It's visually stunning. The acting is strong. My biggest takeaway was probably that

It was okay.

It seems to depend entirely on who you ask. Lots of people loved it, lots of people didn't, or thought it was fine, but didn't get the hype. I haven't seen it, primarily because I think I'd like Arrival more than any of the three above, but that's what I've heard. But from a critical standpoint, I think they prefer

I believe that, 100%. For a while, I thought he just had a ton going on beneath the exterior. Now I'm like, "… or maybe not?"

Nah, he can get it. Gosling is interesting to me because he's been in the industry for literally decades, and yet he's one of the few movie stars left that I feel like I know very little about who he is as a human being. It's hard to keep that level of inscrutability in Hollywood, or really anywhere these days. All I

That was the weirdest thing that happened in 2016. Yes, I know the other things that happened in 2016. I stand by my assessment.

Judging from what my mother says, a television show on Amazon that is "really good" and has that "handsome" Billy Bob Thorton on it. And maybe it's about a lawyer? idk.

Yeah, the Emmy's LOVE her. (Which I understand. She's amazing on Veep.) But the HFPA hates her. I don't know why. Maybe she used her billions to buy their puppies and kick them or something.

It's just one of those mysteries of the Golden Globes. Like all the other GG mysteries, it makes no damn sense, it confuses the audience and the attendees alike, and it seems to serve no rational purpose. Golden Globes!
