I feel you on this. It's soo hard for me to give up a show. But these days it's like the Berlanti Verse is trying desperately to kill me completionism obsession.

My sister couldn't get past the use of "Sympathy for the Devil". She was railing about in on Twitter for like, at least ten minutes. I think she'll be happy to know she wasn't the only one annoyed by it.

Thanks! That's helpful. I think I'll pass on trying to pick it back up…

Thanks! That actually helps in my hemming and hawing about whether to try to pick it back up over the summer.

Wait. I'm behind on TO. They killed Cami AND Davinia? What female characters are left, aside from Haley?

No. You will never, ever convince network executives that someone with name recognition isn't the solution to everything. They don't care what the name recognition comes from - they just care that you recognize the name. Also, of note is that network executives are incapable of learning from past mistakes.

I mean, more commonly it turns out to be that the kids are being raised by two sets of grandparents who hate each other, but that absolutely does happen. I feel like if you picked two friends, and they hated each other THAT much, one of the two would just give up guardianship to the other.

Man, Shonda haaaaates her. Heigl may be difficult as all get out, but Shonda seems to go out of her way to make clear how much she hates Heigl. Like, that particular feud somehow seems uglier than the George Clooney/David O. Russell feud from back in the day, and Clooney allegedly punched the guy.

If you believe Deadline (always worth questioning whether to believe Deadline), the show tested very well, but skewed too female for the network. (Which makes a certain amount of sense in light of what else CBS picked up this season - aside from Doubt, everything else is male-led and primarily geared toward men - so

Here's the problem with a Katherine Heigl show. I mentioned it being picked up to my mom today and she was like, "Isn't she the difficult one?" My 63 year old mom, who knows nothing of pop culture beyond The Walking Dead and Survivor, thinks of Heigl as "the difficult one". No idea if that's a fair reputation or not,

Apparently it tested really well and the trailer has a ridiculous amount of hits and social media attention. Totally puzzling??? I watched it and was like, "Oh, this montage with the song kinda makes me want to get teary, but also WTF is this show even about?" But I like Justin Hartley for some unknowable reason and

I think that show is on ABC.

Oh my, yes! The action figures were excellent!

Oo! Oo! I got one of those too! It was for making a reference to the Janjaweed. They said I was being condescending and patronizing and this wasn't an academic journal.

Jessica's Dawson's Creek recaps were the best. And whoever wrote their recap of the series finale of Seventh Heaven was my hero.

Most people seem to consume TV differently than I think most people here do. Like, my mom is super smart, but she thinks TWD is some sort of deep meditation on life.

Yeah, but that's like five months. As far as I can tell, last season Tyreese, Noah, Bob and Beth's deaths were all spoiled months in advance of their airings, and in this case, it's an even longer time to try to keep the secret, and everyone in the world is going to be watching for those particular actors to be

Comics spoilers, I guess? But I feel like this is basically general knowledge at this point… Eh. I'll leave the name out, just in case. I still think it's the person in the comics. Gimple went SUPER ALL IN on the comics lately and it's the easiest thing to do, and basically the laziest decision is the one this show

Don't they start filming in like May and come back on in October? How many flashbacks can one actor film?

I don't understand. You film in Georgia. Outside. On location. My 63 year old mother will know who died by May.
