Sigh. Those were the days.

I used to like Maggie and Glenn and I don't actively hate them or anything, but I'm sorta "meh" on them these days. They were the exception to my reaction to the second half of season 4 - in general, that run of episodes gave me new appreciation for almost all of the characters - Rick, Michonne, Bob, Sasha, Beth,

The whole "abstract on purpose" concept seems to be a thing the writers have gone for this season, so I'm guessing … that? Like when it turned out Terminus would give new arrivals a chance to join them or would eat them, and the writers mentioned that post-premiere, but there was absolutely no way to know that until

Yeah, I liked this episode and I liked that reveal, but I was also like - that can't possibly be right. She didn't even look for a vein, but she still put it in the crook of the elbow, so one assumes she was trying to administer it intravenously, not into the muscle. She didn't throw it in an IV line or anything. That

Yeah, that was pretty absurd. I think the rooftop had like, three solar panels on it. Nothing will ever be as absurd as Maggie's gunshot bringing down the tunnel though, which I feel like was the ultimate point of my being like, "Whatever, show. You do you."

Yeah. That was weird. They all looked super grim about the case, but you call that lab assistant to the stand and ask where the 30k came from? That's a major, major hit for the prosecution.

This show is always good, even when it's not at its best. Need to get that out of the way, because there's a lot to love about this show and I'm absolutely convinced it's one of the top 3 shows on television right now. That said, the disconnect between the leads has begun to really bother me. It was like a little

Next week's episode contains all of the characters I currently care about the least, so I have a feeling it's going to be a slog. I'm willing to keep an open mind though, because in general the show feels so much more competent in the past two seasons than it had since season one. But an hour of Abraham, Eugene,

I'm hoping Carol gets to take her out this time. Or Daryl. Or Sasha. Or Tyreese. Or Beth. Or Judith. Basically anyone but Rick. He's gotten to play fascist-deposer many times now. Time to give someone else a turn.

I'm pretty sure they've literally been going in circles.

I mean, there was also the whole rape thing.

I would watch an entire episode of that.

I can tolerate a lot from this show, but Koral having a serious love interest might just be too much to ask of me.

That's gonna be real awkward for Emily Kinney.

The time thing is odd. I feel like something was happening there. You could hear the clocks ticking and there were a lot of closeups of clocks. I wonder if they were specifically trying to be unclear about how much time passed, especially now that it seems clear that the season will play with time in general.

That's why I like Beth. She can stomp a walker's head, but I feel like she could also realistically start a hospital preschool group.

She's the living embodiment of effervescent.

Heads up - it's worth watching Talking Dead this week, even if only to watch John Barrowman make Chris Hardwick uncomfortable by talking about politics and Ana Gasteyer talk about her Brooklyn "soft prepping".

Yeah, that was my thought too.

Barrowman agrees with you. He literally just compared Dawn to Sarah Palin on Talking Dead.
