Definitely don't get the appreciation for this version, which drops the ball on the build up of any real tension that the original delivered so much better. This is NOT a well-directed film or edited film but just scenes that are almost randomly pushed up against each other. The final dinner… SPOILER ALERT, was such

There was a glitch in the reunion show where Probst asked to show the final vote (this before his Brad alternate vote obsession) and the tape screwed up. We were supposed to see all the votes and who made them. Not sure why no one else mentioned, including recaps.

You're right. Notice that, although the battery was popped out, the 'play' button was pressed, so that as soon as Ernesto popped the new battery in, it would play.

Stephen Colbert did such a better job with the euphemism bit about the kompromat tape on his Thursday show. Outstanding. And then daring Trump to say one bad thing about Putin. Just one thing. It was bold, real and funny at the same time. He really has inherited Jon Stewart's guts and yucks.

Being a Bee Gees fan has almost been as tough a road, respect-wise, as being an actual Bee Gee. But I’ve been a fan since the first time I heard my older sister’s copy of Idea back in 1968. The single was, “I Gotta Get a Message to You.” On the surface, it’s just another great Beatle-esque melody about a guy trying to

Spot on. Krause isn't really up to the task here. Much too bland. It's fun to see Enos go opposite her Killing character and she can out act anyone on the screen, but Krause just doesn't provide the undeniable charisma to pull off the whole premise.
He was perfect as the lightweight brother in "Six Feet Under," and as

More surprising, yes, but not as interesting story or character-wise. That may be the first time I've seen a vote with the name crossed out and another written in.

Merkin alert.

Like they say, if you can completely remember the 70s, you probably weren't there. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and "Funeral for a Friend" were wearing out on my turntable. I never bought a Journey LP but, for the sake of David Chase alumnus Terrence Winter, was trying to remember if they debuted in 1973.

True, I'm thinking more of Sex Pistols era punk rock. I just got the idea this show was trying to suggest NYC was first on that base, as well. But you're right Talking Heads, Blondie, Patti Smith were more art rock. These were literate artists, not just angry.
I remember Los Angeles punk scene, X at the Club 88, Black

You can't talk about punk music and selling albums in the same sentence. 1973 was actually the era for radio play and LP sales of Elton John, Wings, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Cat Stevens, America, etc. - the mainstream.

Everything that ever needed to be said about love is masterfully summarized in Colin Higgins masterpiece, "Harold and Maude," where a woman about to die teaches a young man obsessed with death how to live… and love. Is there a more profound romantic moment in cinema than when Harold finally confesses to the dying

Jack White. Sue me.

How about bringing back a true anthology series where every EPISODE is different? "The Outer Limits." "The Twilight Zone." "Police Story." "Alfred Hitchcock Presents."

Listen to his voice, it's almost exactly the same. He sounds like Jay Pharaoh's SNL impersonation.

I only feel sad that in an supposedly open forum discussing media content, you would seek to shame someone for expressing a negative opinion.

Sorry, didn't mean to harsh your buzz. Go back to worshipping shit-stained swimtrunks.

It's not clever, it's not funny, the stories are lazy, it's just stupid. The low bar for entertainment has officially been set. Idiocracy is documentary.

This was easily the best episode of television I've seen this season. Great writing. Great acting. Great visuals. Great quotes. "Behave differently!"
