Yes, but either way you’re shitting on someone’s religious beliefs and personal choices, which have no bearing on your life at all. And the decision to have sex or not is even more of a personal and significant decision than whether or not to eat bacon. It should be up to the individuals involved and nobody else.

While I personally think it’s a bad idea to not have sex with someone before you marry them, I think it’s not our place to judge other people’s sexual practices/decisions, as long as there’s no cheating and all parties involved are consenting to it. I love bacon, but I wouldn’t tell a devout Muslim or Jewish person, “J

Yeah, obviously depends on the book that is signed as well. Books 4 and later and US editions are worth a lot less, but my guess is you won’t find any authenticated, autographed copy less than $150-200. Rowling herself has warned that there are a lot of fakes out there.

Republican logic: a single undocumented immigrant murdering people is proof we should remove all undocumented immigrants from the country, while countless mass murders using AR-15s doesn’t mean we should ban them.

Thank goodness! Or maybe they just ran out of male judges from the Voice.

If Michelangelo was “working for hire” for the Catholic church and signed off his copyrights to them, and if the Sistine Chapel was painted after 1923 and not yet in the public domain, then yes, the Catholic Church could sue other people for using the specific image of the Creation of Adam without their permission.

Very cool!

I made Rouge status last year because I shared an account with my sisters. We thought it would be great to accumulate all our points to get free stuff. This year they all got their own accounts, but I am still $20 shy of renewing my Rouge status ALL ON MY OWN. I’m slightly ashamed but I was also an ugly duckling in

When you say autographed by JK Rowling, do you mean a real autograph or just a printed copy of her autograph? Because anything actually autographed by JK Rowling costs a LOT more than $100 today.

I wonder what Trump would say if they find out the person responsible is a white supremacist—sorry, meant to say, “a fine person.”

Also, I thought a true “Rachel” included the various colored caramel and blond highlights, which, besides the blowdrying and ironing, has the additional maintenance of having to color or highlight your hair at least every month.

Agreed, but my #1 Chris is Chris Evans. Here’s just one recent example out of many, many reasons why:

Also, her brand of feminism seems to ascribe certain standards to other women. I am suspicious of most dictates to women of “correct” behavior, even if they are made by other women and done so in the name of feminism. We have enough pressured from men and society in general.

I never said we can’t ever criticize or question other women. But Kiera doesn’t qustiin. She just decides certain things are flatly wrong and bad. My comment was in the context of not only this interview, but Kiera’s recent comments where she attacked Duchess Kate for daring to make a public appearance on the same day

There’s a difference between pointing out patriarchal ideals and their potential dangers, and putting down other moms for their parental choices, which is what Kiera has been doing, and is very judgey on her part and decidedly *not* feminist. It’s hard navigating a still-very-much patriarchal world while trying to

He already did. Basically said he’ll only pay her if he administers the test himself. Which is...all kinds of gross.

I read the essay as saying that our insistence that these men who are credibly accused of sexual harassment and abuse step away from their positions of power is not just to “punish” them. The main reason is for women’s safety. These men have proven that they can no longer be trusted to have professional relationships

You can tell she is so repulsed and uncomfortable. She would have divorced him for sure if he lost the nomination. In fact I read that he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring during the confirnation hearing.

Yes! There were lots of naughty images on the walls of the brothels, and pictures of men with giant dicks. Also, the roads had signs like this one to direct potential customers where to go:
