Is it considered “toxic fandom” if I just don’t like the movie? I am actually genuinely asking here. I am not a die hard EU person by any means, but have been essentially a lifelong casual fan, and it’s more the lack of a coherent story line in this trilogy that bothered me more than anything else.

Yep I thought i was used to it back in the Enterprise days of Star Trek but NOPE last 4-5 years has been a complete doubling down on fucktards...

Same!  Which is probably why I didn't like Last Jedi.  Hopefully this is a return to that^

And there are quite a few that express a good degree of conflict about the movie.

TBH, Germain’s review is about the only one that reads sober and coherent. The rest are the usual breathless hyperbole to be expected from Twitter first viewers.

Okay, I have some optimism, but...

It’s such bullshit. The media companies can solve this issue overnight by knocking heads and creating a single subscription platform without geographical restrictions. I pay for cable, Netflix and prime but I mostly use a knock-off site to catch up on my TV because it’s more convenient and in my part of the world we

Anybody can Ctrl+C a car.

When I was young going through school and learning, I pirated software to learn on like Visual Studio or Maya, or games I couldn’t afford that had editors. I also “pirated” anime, I add the quotes because, at the time, anime wasn’t really a licensed thing in America, so you just couldn’t get it via Funimation. I’m

Ctrl+C is the easy part.  It’s figuring out how to Ctrl+P a car that has everyone stumped.  Stupid law of conservation of mass.

If you could Ctrl+C a car, you wouldn't be stealing a car.

If I could Ctrl+C a car, I’d totally steal a car.

The worst part about the show dropping whole season are threads like this. I want to talk about but I’m on episode 3 and won’t move further than that today. I can’t even look at other comments or twitter, tumblr, reddit etc so I don’t get spoiled. I wish there were separate episode threads here.

Crisis of Infinite Fanservice is bonkers and objectively bad, but somehow still really enjoyable.

.

yeah... saying they have a Plan for Wonderwoman 3 doesnt mean they mapped it out as a trilogy...

At the same time, nothing gives me more sinister pleasure than watching DC again count their chickens before they’ve hatched. It’s like watching Side-Show Bob stepping on a parking lot full of rakes, at this point.

See, Star Wars people? It’s not that difficult to make a plan.

The sheer degree of Watchman knob-polishing on avclub is unreal, given how uninspired and hacky it all really is.

Joelle mentioned it, but yeah, a very unsatisfying resolution to the “inevitable” tragedy looming 10 years in the future: a racist with a future-gun slowly moving in the background.
