At this point it’s more doesn’t want to admit/deal with the financial liability of having been wrong about being able to deliver Full Self Driving. It doesn’t work. It’s never going to work with the existing hardware. So call it “beta” and claim success.
This shittiness of this website is accelerating. Sad stuff.
Never thought I’d have a positive thing to say about a Hummer, but this is several thousand times better than the Cybertruck stupidity.
I’m sure the performance will be awesomely amazing, but, FFS, the uber high beltline and small window look is kinda played out by now, isn’t it?
This honestly seems like a really, really good idea by GM
I think they can compete by A. existing for purchase and B. costing half.
The Cybertruck makes the Cybertruck look like an angular silver turd.
This thing is sweet. I love everything about it except the price. There is no way I’d spend that kind of money on something with less than 300 miles of range. For the price of the launch edition I’d rather get a Raptor and a miata RF.

I actually like this more than I should. At least it looks better than the Cybertruck.
Look up the air force fall asleep fast method: full yogic body scan from head to toe (hit as many body parts you can name), then repeat “clear my mind 10 times” while imagining a quiet, secluded scene. Started teaching this technique to my kid when he was 4, now he naps like a champ and falls asleep in 5-10min. at bed…
Yeah, and the linked Army manual did not provide anything either, just that one should take them.
In my experience:
It happens in SW development in general industry as well.
It’s a “work saturdays for a month or so” level of crunch, not the cancerous “70 hours for 18 months” level that gets thrown around by other developers. Even if they worked at 100% until then, it’d only add, what, 1-2 weeks of work onto the project? It’d still be November, but with so much money already tied up in…
We don’t know how long their days are right now; if things are rough enough that they’re going back on a public promise of no crunch, I’m assuming that the workers weren’t working 40 hour weeks recently.
But did they really try everything to avoid crunch or is it that they don’t want to give up that November release date?
pfft, I saw that twist coming miles away
I didn’t know I wanted a Florida Man douchebro vs. Salt Bae fight til I had to write this today.
