In general I hate fake stuff. BMW E46 3-series is an OK looking car compact coupe if you’re into that sort of thing they put fake vents on fenders and a purely decorative hood bulge for the M3. Look, I have an M badge! What a cheesy car. The company knows its market.

It is an architectural disaster.

I cannot stress how great a sliding door is with small children. My ex-wife had to be cool and get an SUV. You want a Minivan for the next few years. Just embrace this.

I’m calling BS on this trend its not necessary at all.

Right around there or under. The mechanical mods are not too exotic, some Dinan bits but nothing crazy. Guessing the bodywork—which really make the thing—were not cheap.

Mid-engine, Pininfarina design. Its pretty much a Ferrari.

A tin can on wheels and the objection is the side the steering wheel is on. I love Jalopnik.

Had 135i, haven’t driven an M2 but guessing no at least not stock. The 135 has as much power (with a tune) and fantastic brakes but its understeery, has heavy wheels, no LSD etc. I think some suspension mods could go a long way though.

1) it would be better and look better as a hatchback

If I had $60k for a new car M2 would be in the running. What would I cross shop? I guess the Shelby Mustang and whatever that money gets in a Camaro. 718 if I don’t need a backseat. You?

I’d think on a 135i a LSD, coilovers and M control arms would get you there or better than an M2 but I could be wrong. If I could do my 135i over again I’d do suspension, not power. Understeery as hell from factory.

The most perfect design they had was their first Mini Cooper and that designer went on to lead Fiat/Ferrari and now McLaren

VTEC uber alles

Early 2000s BMW so much better than anything they’ve done since. Grills are small here. Looks great.

I think it’s been up there a while ask me how I know.

The Cooper was the ST of 15 years.

But your screen name

You find F56 fun? I’d rather spend the money on a certified R56 JCW.

RS is about 50% more $ than ST

throttle response, power delivery—a much better engine than the ecoboost
