Ok but is it front engine or front mid-engine because the handling characteristics depend on this
Having gone from a BMW to an S2000 I can confirm front-mid is a thing and it’s fun to have car that likes to turn because the engine isn’t hanging over the axel.
100k mikes S2k should be $12k.
Second gen Mini Cooper JCW is fairly luxurious, light and great handling. It is great headroom. Thrown down the back seats and the dog has plenty of room. Look for an ‘11 to ‘14. This is the refresh and the quality is better. Great daily and canyon carver. Approx $15k. If you need an even better canyon carver get a…
Not much weight difference from the G37 sedan.
The X started shipping in volume March last year. Its hard to make a case that its stale at this point.
There’s profitable on the margin and then there’s profitable as a company. The 7-series and S-Class probably make decent money but a ton of overhead, including advertising, R&D, etc is shared over a lot of models.
Business journalism and stock market journalism overlap but they’re not quite the same thing. Yes, a 6 year old model should usually be plateauing. That’s normal but Tesla has made some big improvements in range, power, AWD, autopilot and more charging stations. Investors were projecting growth so the stock price…
whispers: maybe you aren’t offering enough money
That mom looks hot as hell. Fold down all the seats in the back and have at it. Miata not the answer for everything.
Size is a factor but it seems American cars generally have poor material selections and design holding cost constant. Anyway, enjoy your car!
Somehow VW manages to make the interior of a base Golf pretty nice. I don’t know if they use more expensive materials or just are better at choosing them.
There’s healthy AP1 vs AP2 debate and a case to be made for both. I wouldn’t assume buyers of AP1s couldn’t afford a new car. On S2ki.com you’ll find owners have used to have or still have Corvettes, Vipers, Caymans, etc.
The AP1 without a spare tire (which the ND doesn’t have) is closer 2730. Car and Driver puts the USDM ND manual at 2332. That’s 400 lbs. Article doesn’t mention the specs.
Great reliability, parts are easy to find, great aftermarket, great community.
Not sure about 600 lbs lighter. I’m guessing that’s based on taking the heaviest AP2 with the spare tire and tonneau cover no one uses and 1.6 liter ND that’s not sold in the US and definitely isn’t on par with S2K performance.
Comparing the S2K and ND based on 0-60 or 5-60 or straightline anything is like comparing Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox based on bench pressing.
You have bad preferences
The problem isn’t the Mustangs. It’s their drivers.
The STI is f**king hideous, particularly the sedan. Shame the ditched the hatch.
