The Caddy is a lot cheaper

318ti, the e36 hatch was a real thing. 18 for sale on Autotrader. As mentioned, rear suspension come out of the e30.

I certainly don’t support extreme right wing politics but there is a little something decent about a business owner (or athlete, actor, etc) who will be state their views at the expense of lost business. Your argument seems to be that the noble thing is to keep shut and keep your customers.

Stef, you’re hiding in piles of Puffalumps all day anyway. But seriously, we need your thoughts on LS swap into a Caprice.

I agree that just making higher mpg cars won’t sell themselves. Smaller more fuel efficient cars can be mandated at the supply level with fleet MPG requirements or at the demand side with guzzler taxes, gas taxes etc.

I’m not arguing that. I’m saying the V models don’t matter that much and that’s not Caddy’s problem. Crappy dealers and Chevyesque interiors are the problem. The looks are weird too.

The V like a BMW M is a small part of the sales volume. Lots of other luxury cars have a V6

Let’s hear more about how they’re dropping 400 pounds...which is a lot.

Ok. Then don’t build small, high cars and put the efficient engines in the aerodynamic ones.

There is an easy way increase fuel economy and it doesn’t require technical progress--whether its easy is debatable--smaller cars. As you say, will American consumers (voters) stand for this if they can’t get 5,000 lbs SUVs?

Oil shale

They got a lot of bad feedback on that. I think a few days later they said its not the final design.

Trailblazer SS or better yet Saab 9-7x Aero with bolt ons should get you close.

And before the Typhoon was the Lil Red Express

I love cars. I love a manual gearbox. But if you’ve sat for hours going nowhere in, say, LA or Jakarta its not really a debate.

Sorry (not really) but i3 is dumb. Carbon frame, bamboo interior, and supposedly nice driving dynamics, etc are fine but hey don’t matter when the consumer has shown they don’t want cars with 60 mile range. The new bigger battery will improve that a bit but whatever. Tesla showed that consumers want 200 mile range or

gorgeous!

C3 without the chrome bumpers (like the ‘79) is one of the best designs of all time. Not just cars but anything. I hope you and your dad enjoy it!

A double din with CarPlay was the first thing I did. I looked for a car without iDrive.
