No doubt they learned English watching Hee Haw
I’ve thought about these more than I care to admit. I figure if the engine goes there’s a guy in Florida who makes kits for LS swaps.I might pay more like maybe a few hundred more for a cleaner one than this.
“The car that most announces that you’ve arrived”. In other words, the car that’s the most baller af.
If Jalopnik folds then Jason should buy Car & Driver.
Fake choking at bar mitzvahs and moose vulva. In your dreams Car and Driver. In your dreams.
I don’t know if you're being sarcastic but I can see him doing that.
This. A million times this. They destroyed Elvis’ car for the sake of a reproduction not a restoration.
Anyone else think they destroyed a historical artifact? Elvis had it painted. The motor was replaced. He didn’t have it the showroom color. He didn’t want the original engine. These were fundamental to his ownership of the car. Elvis’ car is gone forever.
+1 Sexiest car of all time
You gotta hire this guy or give him a shot with a couple articles. This is great stuff.
Jalopnik please tell why this guy isn’t on staff?!?
Plenty of BMWs are part of the recall too and no replacements in sight.
A Honda S2000 costs less to get into and will be less to maintain. Just a thought. Enjoy your car!
The credit is going away and at any rate is forgone tax revenue, i.e. it’s not free. No one buys a base model. Even with more efficient batteries big EVs will still be relatively expensive.
And what does it cost?
Maybe under $30k or replaces the entry level 3-er? I’m not exactly sure but every sign is pointing to FWD BMW in the US and Europe at some point.
Mini and BMW are different looking, different brands, ultimately different customers. Its logical for the chassis and drivetrains to be shared through different brands. Just like VW makes the Audi A3, TT, Golf and various Skoda and Seat things on the same platform. Or GM uses the same platform for the Camaro and…
I like the new one but +1 for a funny line.
Honest question: does VW hire a lot of engineers from Japan and Detroit?
