Don’t confuse the Iranian people with the government.

I modified a 135i and it’s almost 400 at the wheels. I thought HP and 0-60 meant fun. A test drive in a BRZ told me how wrong I got it. Way more fun to be in a lightweight car. Moving the Bimmer to a winter car/child carrier/Costo getter and getting excited for an S2000 this summer.

Hardly anyone wants those. Not just Volt but plug-in hybrids generally.

The forums rarely say their car is unreliable. Forum members are the fans. They’re the ones who have a car that didn’t break down a bunch and then got fed up and sold it. That guy isn't in the forum. I’m guessing you got a great deal though and if it has a few bugs it’ll still be a great deal. Big fan of the Abarth.

The Fiat dealer near me will do tunes under warranty for the Abarth. Not sure if the pushing that much extra power if that’s a nationwide thing.

Fiat 500 Abarth has some of highest depreciation of any economy car. Is some of that due to engine reliability? (Not a rhetorical question.)

I think maybe you are used to seeing discrimination in the phrase racial discrimination. That’s a bad thing of course, but the word discrimination is neutral. The rich should be discriminated against for taxes. They should pay more. No debate between us on that.

Seems like there are better 3 pedal options with more power in the hatchback category. GTI, Focus ST. Of course some people don’t like hatches

The sentiment of every former S2000 owner, never should have sold it.

Part of me wants to say forced induction on the S2000 is heresay. The other part wants to drive a supercharged one. Another part wants an LS swap.

+1. The 986 and first gen Boxster saved the company.

Sounds like company you work for has a dumb bonus system. Why should VW or anyone follow a dumb system?

Francis Ford Coppola allegedly has one. How he pulled it off...

There are so few manuals on the site that I wonder how meaningful the numbers are, small sample size and all that.

You or I may have different taste in cars than Tesla fans. I don’t find the Model S all that fun much less engaging. For a lot of people its just what they need.

Here’s wikipedia on world wide EV use. It won’t change the situation much.

There were less than 20k plug-ins (pure or hybrid) not made by Tesla of any type sold in the first quarter of 2016 . In all 2015, it was 115k (including Tesla) or roughly 1/3 of the number of Model 3's ordered. http://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-i…

i3 loses tons of money. The plug in hybrids have been a dud. Super cars are a niche. The Leaf sales approx the same volume as Model S, i.e. not a lot. Everyone but Tesla saw the opportunity.

8 EVs are going to better the Model 3 in two years, huh? Who is making these cars? Do any of them have access to a supercharger network?
