$30k won’t get a bone stock manual. As others have pointed out there are many manual NSXs out there on autotrader and NSX Prime for less than the cost of the cheap NSX with the automatic with a swap, not to mention the auto is down on power too.

I think that’s right price for comparison given the all in cost for the swap.
Haha. Yeah it doesn't say. Pretty suspect.
See my point number 1. I made no excuse for the car driver.
I agree that if a buyer wants an auto then $24k is a good deal if the car is good. I objected only to the idea that a manual swap is a good idea for this particular car.
Wrong. The double yellow is entirely for oncoming traffic. The point is the cyclist was driving recklessly and sooner or later was bound to be in some kind of accident.
A few things can be true at the same time. 1) the car driver should do serious time and lose his shirt in a lawsuit. 2) pass two cars at once on double yellow is Darwinism in action.
Here’s one on Chicago Craig. nsxprime.com has some too.
A quick scan at nsxprime.com puts the manual transmission swap at $10 to $12k in new parts or $7k in salvage parts, not including labor. Plenty of manuals available for less than the cost of this car plus conversion.
Alas, here is the genuine article a 2006 Saab 9-2x Aero from a seller on the forum. $10k asking. And it has a tune.
My bad. This is not the Aero and this price is nuts. Thanks to those who pointed this out.
You can just say the Jewish part of town. Its not a dirty word :)
I’m coming in way late to this discussion. I’m Jewish and my parents drove Porsches and Benzes. You can guess where my allegiance lies. Those were pretty common sights in a heavily Jewish area where we lived, the North Shore near Chicago. Oddly my daughter won’t look at Golf for first car. Go figure.
A poor effort for US diplomacy that this mission isn’t multilateral.
Will America get the CSL version?
A little calculator fun. In 1996 the Corvette was a shade under $40k which the inflation calculators say is a little under $60k in today’s money. So for some fairly utilitarian cars you get Vette hp (or more) from 20 years ago for a 1/3 less money.
Like the pine trees linin’ an open road
Kettle Moraine in Wisconsin is nice too.
Point taken. Other visiting my then girlfriend and now ex-wife in Champagne at U of I, I've hardly explored the state. I'll check out Rockford this month. Thanks for the tip!
