Well, you just admitted to be willing to make fairly gross generalizations about people (being rapists) based upon anecdote. That’s a behavior I’d classify as fairly stupid.

You didn’t really address my point. Look, the media has done an absolutely TERRIBLE job at maintaining any sort of objectivity with respect to this issue and at the end of the day, it’s doing more harm than good. The OP above has an issue with this, particularly given the fact that the above journalist did an

So IF he’s innocent and he should take the trouble this has caused as a matter of principle?

So because he has a problem with the writer, and the particular bias that she has exhibited in these stories, he’s a rapist?

Honestly, I do not understand why people believe this to be the case. Possibly in order to justify culling freedom of expression outside of public spaces. But in reality, censorship can occur even without government involvement. All it requires is one individual or body surpressing the speech or expression of another.

Except that the emotional drive is already explicitly laid out in the events of ANH and ESB, in particular, Obiwan telling Luke that Vader murdered his father, Vader slaying Obiwan, and Vader taking and torturing his friends on Cloud City.

There is a specific amount of fear at play that comes with the aspect of never having faced Vader before.

The fixation is easily explained by Obiwan telling him that his father was killed by Vader in New Hope, not to mention seeing Vader slay Obiwan. That, coupled with his training to become a Jedi and the knowledge that the confrontation must occur.

I think the whole confrontation completely undercuts the importance of the events in Empire. Not at all a fan.

That’s not really what a hipster is, at least not in Chicago.

It’s a hashtag ffs. Assigning guilt by association because of the efforts of largely unrelated trolls is nonsense.

ROTS doesn’t hold a candle to Empire. It tries to capture some measure of emotion so that people actually take the story to heart, but there’s just so many things wrong with it, especially on a plot level, that it just doesn’t work.

Weak as hell Stephen. The Max Temkin thing alone should be enough of an issue to warrant a legit overhaul of how you guys operate. I mean, the fucking comments Hernandez was making about assigning guilt based on probability? Fucking tumblr-riffic right there.

All you did was ignore legitimate issues with the movie as a means of defending your own failed point.

You’re the worst possible person to try and defend Kotaku with regard to this issue. How quickly you forget your own epic failure with the whole Dragon’s Crown bullshit.

After the god-awful, technical travesty that was BF4 for me, there is no way in hell I’ll ever pre-order any game from DICE. Hell, I haven’t actually pre-ordered a single game since that “learning” experience.

Lol... god lord, no it’s not.

The game was broken the INSTANT the implemented the pay2win items. The paid weapons were just so OP compared to the free items.

Wut.

Except that I more than often find that these quips include enough small truths about a title that reading a few of them tends to be more useful than a lot of reviews from actual gaming news outlets.
