Rose-colored glasses much? Jesus, I remember the Gamespy and Gamespot forums being far worse than much of what we have now.

I used to think like this... and then I pre-ordered that broken hell of a mess that has been BF4 over the past year.

You line of reasoning is why we had all those bullshit "gamers are dead" articles (hell, there was even one here on Kotaku.

Seeing that Infiniminer was officially discontinued... can't really fault Notch in the slightest for seeing something that worked that people wanted and running with it when his forerunners decided to close up development.

Buying crap? The house/property, short of another major property value collapse, is a serious investment.

That "video walkthrough" has better production values than the bulk of recent Hollywood movie fare.

With newer systems this is no longer true. Software actually adapts to the person can cuts what previously amounted to a couple weeks worth of training down to one to two sessions of work with such a device.

It's not even within the realm of potential possibilities... at least not without replacing or reinforcing the entire atlanto-axial structure of the body.

One of the few positives to come out of 10 years of perpetual war and the battle injuries and subsequent VA funding for our vets.

And criticizing something isn't the same thing as using minority influence to get media pulled from store shelves.

You conveniently glossed over my point. As I mentioned before... individuals across gaming and social media have been saying that this game shouldn't be made.

Actually, plenty of people on many fronts have been telling everyone, including the publisher, that the devs were wrong to try and release this game.

It really doesn't make it "not censorship", which is pretty much always a bad thing. Furthermore, I'm just because it is within the rights of a company to not sell a game for x/y/z reasons, doesn't really make it the right thing to do, from ethical or business standpoints.

Maybe both? I mean, the art style alone is satisfying enough that I'm glad they are pursuing these possibilities.

Let's just say that I don't believe you. There isn't a single level of CC that would govern protection of your work in such a way. Even the most restrictive level of CC wouldn't protect your work in such a way from non-monetized "fair use" doctrine, ie. any of the above YT content I noted, provided they attributed the

Do you sell your games, or are they free?

Actually, the law does not support your decision. Furthermore, filing in a DMCA in manner you originally suggest isn't just wrong on the concern of unnecessary censorship. It's wrong because it violates the DMCA and fair use doctrines themselves.

My body is absolutely fukking ready.

Because an erroneous DMCA claim has gotten anyone anywhere. Hell, it's part and parcel of the reason GamerGate exploded into a firestorm in the first place.

Erdely and her editor should be fired for the general damage they've caused to everyone involved, and all of the ridiculous arguments sure to follow.
