This is like an extremely shallow version of that one website with all the anonymous postcards about people coming to terms with real life issues.

This is straight up disturbing. I'd really rather not have my perceptual information tailored to inhibit perfectly normal physiological reactions and emotional moods and feelings. It's bad enough that I'm already bombarded by a ton of audio/visual information tailored to try and get me to buy as much crap as humanly

Title was a little misleading, but an awesome little movie.

I would say that they've basically been operating with the Apple model. Create the demand, limit the supply, profit. Major 1st party Nintendo games are few and far between. Because of their overall quality, they can typically afford to wait.

Reminds me of Out of this World. If the gameplay is good, this will be a must-buy.

Verizon specifically came out on the back of this ruling and said that this is exactly something they are looking into.

Fuck that. Until Google fiber gets everywhere, many, many people are going to get fucked up the ass by the cartel that is Comed/Verizon/ATT.

I thought Forbes' article was spot on. Some of the cosplay occurring at PAX is just as bad as Nigri's sponsored getup. I've never heard them make general attendees change.

Comments are going through, but I've had the same issue. Either all are present, or none.

I thought the strikes at :23 were far more impressive than the "best success" chosen.

This boggles my mind. If anything, mocap should reduce the cost on animating.

That factor worker sits on the line and pushes a button, checks the pH. They rarely have control of the development of a product, so your comparison is broken. Developers share in the blame when a product sucks. Otherwise you are nothing better than a corporate shill.

Sorry dude, but no. The buck stops with the publisher AND the developer, end of story. If we're asking consumers to take the high road, then it's just as easy to say that as a developer, you shouldn't be ok with release dogshit, to the point that you move yourselves into a position that allows you to be free of

You can also disrespect something without resorting to death threats.

I'm sorry, but if the final product is truly bad, the effort has every right to be criticized and, at some times, disrespected.

I disagree. A truly bad game can very well deserve hate. That hate should be directed at the game itself, and possibly the company that created it. It should not manifest as death threats to a specific individual though.

I read the entire article. I agree that death threats are always wrong. But the author hides behind the argument against hateful responses to defend faulty products and also paints a blanket picture against all gamers.

I really can't take you seriously on this. Most gaming media sites game SimCity strong positive reviews. Kotaku is an exception to that, but even then, they didn't really start harping on it until a few weeks after the release.

The online functionality was one thing. But a great number of gamers who purchased the game complained of functionality bugs that made the game unplayable or broken to a large extent.

A know it all he may be, but for the most part, he is right. More to the point, he addresses each and every problem with the original post in kind.
