I have several friends who either have an EV or PHEV on Oahu and they all have mixed experiences. One has two early Nissan Leafs and they can’t make it from Kailua over the Pali to town with more than one or two meetings and back without charging to get back home to Kailua.

My personal record with a Ghibli Sq4 is 54hours between delivery and tow truck return.

Reality is there were families that were stuffing kids in storm drains and others simply bent over, kissed their asses goodbye, and hoped for the best. A real alert would only give residents maybe 12 minutes to find shelter. That’s not enough time to get in a car, run some red lights, and make it to one of the few…

Is this a total including fleet sales? Only ones I see (and there are a lot) have little barcodes taped to the inside of the windows.

Don’t forget the typical crappy dealer experience. Especially at the ones that also push Buick and GMC.

Should be a darker color but I really like it. I’m happy they didn’t stray too far from the concept.

Personal: F31 330i wagon in individual Dakar Yellow M Sport. Will likely order for European Delivery in the fall. Second choice is individual Oxford Green with Golden Brown 440i coupe, M Sport, manual. I really like some of the 80s and 90s BMW colors.

Neutral: Last trips to two of the three local BMW dealerships in Hawaii were surprisingly pleasant. Successfully ordered a car and am waiting to place an order on another when that particular model comes available to order mid next year. It helps to be a regular and the staff knows what they can and cannot get away…

And blue. Purists would only spec their Alpina in blue or green.

Agreed on the just “ok” part for Hawaiian. I’m sad they took away the upgraded food option for coach and you have only one choice... what they serve.

When you’re in sketchy parts of the world this car is perfect. It would be even better if it were silver or some other boring color.
