Depends on how smooth and seamless the integration is. In the case of the new C63 you have to wait for the car to start, then for the dual clutch to engage, then you can go. Scary if you’re trying to clear an intersection in LA but hearing the car “start” every time is almost worth the risk.

What is the point of Sport Chrono on a base Cayenne?

Here in Hawaii it’s easy to find 1-3 year old Tacomas at the same or higher price than new with no modifications (lots of lifted trucks). It’s easiest to find these at BHPH lots but even legit dealers price their newish used inventory high. It’s not due to a lack of inventory and the local distributor doesn’t charge

Double check that the “included” maintenance program is transferrable from original owner to subsequent owners. BMW has been tweaking the program on newer cars (2015+) that limit the transferability and length (2017) of the factory maintenance program on resold cars.

There was a Hummer H2 ad run in the mid 2000s that featured an H2 on a lava field. It was photographed less than 50' from the highway.

A lot of people make the mistake of parking with a wheel on a curb in that parking lot allowing easy access for bugs to come and go from the car.

I usually have a new X5 parked at that airport but refuse to park in the lot that this happened in. Between the possibility for roaches and centipedes to full ant infestation in a friend’s car it’s worth taking an extra couple of minutes and parking in the newer back lot.

It’s an F10 5 series

Don’t forget the ones who think they have a V6 or V4

I agree. Without the snob appeal of a Metris.

Absolutely. If they’re choking on inventory expect to see this in the National/Alamo/Enterprise upgrade section soon.

Correct, Honolulu and Hawaii County have subsidized vehicles but have a limited list of vehicles they can use. Most everyone has recently bought a 4 Runner or Charger, though. There have been other odd cars such as the TL Type S, Yukon Denali, lots of GTOs, G35/37, etc. in the past. There’s even a Kia Cadenza cop

In Hawaii we also have the Expedition, Tacoma (Kauai), new Explorer, Camry, Fusion Hybrid (older version), Sienna, and others as marked cars. Un marked cars are usually the ones listed in the article plus the 4 Runner, FJ Cruiser, Mustang GT, Grand Cherokee, Chrysler 300, Altima, Highlander.

Looking forward to upgrading to this... when it’s available at National LAX

Agreed, the X5 is quite good for what it is. A lot of people are voting with their checkbook on the X1 too.

I’ve had two W163 MLs. My first was in high school and college (yes, I was “that” kid) and I was in the service department so often my advisor knew most of my family from out of state, my local social circle, and all of the service shuttle drivers knew where to pick me up and drop me off and how to get around campus.

Heh, what about Bannon?

I too would like to know how drivable it is. I have an M2 on order and will occasionally daily it on shitty roads in Hawaii and would like to do something other than off the shelf M Performance mods.
