it’s not that investing time in an MMO is too much, as I already have 7 days played at max level in Legion at the moment, and have been playing WoW on-and-off since 2007.

it’s that, SE gated EVERYTHING behind the story. don’t do the story? can’t progress. WoW doesn’t do that. I can go from zone to zone with relative

When I last took count, the game had over 400 story quests. Way too many and most of them contain pointless cutscenes. Very few of them are even important to the story. They still haven’t fixed the final stages of the 2.0 story either. They put stupid 10+ minute long cutscenes in the middle of a dungeon.

Fantastic. I have this weird tendency to play XIV like a single player game, where I’ll come back just before the expansion, devour all the post-Heavensward content, power through the new expansion; raid for a week or two, get bored and check out until the next one. I enjoy the environments and narrative enough to

I have both Digital Collector’s edition of ARR and Heavensward, and was a Day one buyer of ARR.

It’s not that I dislike the story, far from it.

odds of some sort of character boost?

Girl, “You’re Still The One” was right up there with Lonestar’s “Amazed” for high schoolers in the late ‘90s/early ‘00s. (That is to say, same, girl.)

As a Black Latina who also listened to hip-hop in the early 90s in L.A. (I legit lived through the L.A. riots and a good chunk of the stores in my neighborhood were burned down. Also, my dad grew up in Watts, so I have a little street cred :-) ), Shania Twain is legit a lot of fun. And it’s country music that isn’t

Why the fuck do they need $20k for a funeral? Even if he didn’t have life insurance or savings, a nice funeral can be had for under $10k, easily.

I don’t know, but the girlfriend doesn’t seem fazed by it, and she needs to learn to shut the fuck up about what’s going on. The idiot is replying and tweeting away like a moron. God damn social media.

I wouldn’t trust his girl’s word. When people lose loved ones they go through massive grief and act strangely and are willing to lie to protect people.

Alcoholism is a big problem in society that we still really don’t deal with. Most drunj driving crashes are alcoholics and young kids with a lizard brain still in control. Many of whom can become alcoholics.

Hypocrisy much? They didnt say anything against the driver being a drunk driver. They merely quoted the preliminary report and shared their feelings on drunk drivers. Didnt call anyone out, and even if they did its not unfounded to make observations. That car was obliterated and professionals were on the scene to

I watch A LOT of twitch. I’ve got in on in the background pretty much constantly at home and I like to jump between channels. It’s basically my replacement for cable. It was a huge inconvenience to watch ads when jumping between different streams mid-tournaments. Considering the amount of entertainment I was getting I

I guess I’m in the Kotaku minority, because I very much enjoyed Warcraft. I went into it with Zero expectations, a fan of Warcraft 1, 2 and 3 (never fell into WoW though) - and I thought it was a great time.

I actually finally got around to seeing the movie last weekend. I never got into WoW, but I was a devoted Wc3 player for years and read into a lot of the lore back then (before WoW kind of ripped asunder imho). I read both your and Schreier’s reviews on the movie, but I am kind of mixed. Overall I thought it was a

Fahey, check your sources. Both Metacritic and RottenTomato show that movie goers enjoyed the movie quite a bit. It’s only dimwitted “critics” that didn’t like it.

This is truth!
All these bad reviews before release... making people hesitant... people agreeing with Rotten Tomatoes and poor reviews who haven’t even SEEN THE MOVIE YET just to tear it down... so happy that when it came out it did well!

I took my wife to see warcraft this weekend (she has only played some WoW, and none of the old warcraft games) and she still enjoyed it (even though she had a lot of questions, which I could answer since I played all the games and played WoW since vanilla).

Except your publication absolutely trashed this movie weeks before it came out, along with the rest of the US press. This movie never had a chance with the US general moving going audience. Everyone I tried to get to go with me, told me they heard the movie was terrible, the next Battlefield Earth.
