Bolt’s lack of injury and trailing off at age 30 are just about the best proof that he was always clean.

I’m happy for you Chris. This is the exact kind of move necessary to get the Wizards past being beaten by the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals, and on to being beaten by the Sixers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
I realize this will require the reader to do more research but simply pulling up the Twitter account and scrolling through the tweets reveals that he gives credit to the NYT and never suggests it was he alone who was scooped. Calling him “a bit of a fraud” is a bit dickish when he gives credit to the people whose work…
You’re constituting wins as a measure of success for a team that was deliberately constructed to not win many games.
Hinkie picked Okafor. No-one thinks he is a genius.
They were bad for 4 years, including this season gone. And Hinkie was only there for 2.5. There’s some incredibly flawed logic being branded around on this site if you somehow think that is somehow worse than being in the same position as 70% of other teams that are aimless and float in mediocrity.
Come for your reckoning, Burneko. He lives.
I don’t know anything about soccer, particularly international soccer, but I always read Billy’s articles just to see how quickly it takes people to shit on him in the comments...
This is just stupid at this point. Nothing Sam Hinkie has ever said or done has given the impression that he thinks that tanking is the answer to every problem, or that he values draft picks above all else. And the Kings’ roster and situation is radically different from the situation that Hinkie faced when he took…
Deadspin’s continued hate for Sam Hinkie is one of the weirdest things. I’m a Bulls fan and I would trade the Bulls roster for the Hinkie-built Sixers one in a heartbeat. I think most other fans of mediocre-to-bad teams would say the same.
Love how you guys act like The Process didn’t pay off. Saric is really damn good. With the exception of some injuries Embiid has the potential to rock the league. Next year they add Ben Simmons and they have that great draft swap with Sacramento. Yeah it hurt, but trust the process.
I don’t think it’s the “alternate strategy” thing; Deadspin’s general ethos seems to support the idea of taking a shit on “how things have always been done.” It seems that their major bone of contention is that a franchise is taking people’s money while openly not trying to put a winning product on the floor.
* Beating the current three seed despite having just traded two of their five starters for nothing, with no fatigue or injury excuses from Washington.
The answer is yes to your question.
The Wizards have NEVER been to the finals. Can’t take the shine off the Baltimore Bullets
Be nice - the Wizards haven’t been to the Finals in Albert’s lifetime.
Are the Sixers winning? I’d love to hear Burneko’s explanation why the Wizards struggle against the Sixers when the Sixers are playing without 3 of their starters
It’s really a shame the Sixers didn’t keep Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes and Andre Iguodala and keep making runs at the 7 seed, though.
