Damn. I donāt need a frickin car that I canāt drive when itās cold. Jesus H.Ā Christ.
This is my thing. These people here are like āits 10 miles to workā and Iām wondering what big city they live in. Itās 10 miles to the nearest Publix for me my guy. Donāt ask me about my commute either.
DailyCommute = 130 miles
Yay!
Whenever an EV comes out with a sub-200 mile range, some people pan it, and others inevitably say something like āBut the average daily commute is only X milesā¦ā.
E-bikes make perfect sense for commuting, but we should really just call them what they are, mopeds. (Definition: Low powered motorized bicycle.)
Itās really not that hard to differentiate between the an e-bike and an motorcycle. Does it have pedals? Do you have to pedal to ride it? Itās an e-bike. If it doesnāt haveā¦
You have a valid point, but if you can get 2.5 times the range for a few thousand more than the top level trim from a Tesla, there is no conceivable reason for this car to exist anywhere outside of compliance markets.
I ride an ebike. Home built using an old specialized trail bike. I love it. Ride it every day, use it for commuting. 30mph, 15-20 mile range (I live 2.5 miles from work). It saves a ton of money, and is really enjoyable. I have a regular bike too, but almost never ride it anymore.
The best electric car for a road trip is still a shitty car for a road trip.
So is the mid-seven second 0-60 and I'm really less concerned with the distance, 181hp is a joke for a 'semi-perfomance' minded model/brand.
Itāll be usable as a city car, but they better make it damn cheap. You can get a used e-Golf for a pretty decent price these days, and if itās a second-gen (2017 or newer) it will equal or beat the Miniās range.
110 miles is a fucking joke.
Yuck.
I so disagree. Not sure where youāre from, but here in the north east - I consider it almost a requirement. Iāve had 2 wheel (mostly rear) for over 25 years. Got my first 2 vehicles with AWD/4x4, and will never look back for my daily driver. ME, MA, NH, RI...I think it should be borderline mandatory.
of course she missed the requirement for a back seat.
