To be fair, so does the Urus.

The styling on a Prius is an exceptionally low bar to raise.

lmao, what sort of driving enjoyment are you getting by driving around Manhattan?

There’s a reason why the ratio of Top Gear segments filmed in the Alps to segments filmed in Manhattan is about 50 to 1.

Lighten up, Francis. No one is coming to take your roads. Or your guns.

This isn’t dumb.  It’s an engineering masterpiece and pretty awesome

They didn’t crush them in CFC V1.0, but they did destroy the engines, which is pretty stupid. I honestly don’t like the program for a variety of reasons, but if it’s going to happen, at least allow the cars to get reused via junk yards, etc. without destroying a working car. Heck, brand the titles so they can never be

I assume this is so the government can handle all of those DCT installed Fiesta and Focus clunkers and Ford can try and get off the hook for their recent settlement.

Disaster capitalism all the way up. The American way!

I believe South Park satires this very well with the Margaritaville episode.

What source is BLS?

While I agree with the car cost sentiment (there are incredible cars for less than 20k compared to even 20 years ago), these types of charts really need to be regional. The cost of housing/education relative to wages shifts dramatically from place to place.

Capitalism works best when paired with rampant consumerism.

When did we become giant coal slaves to “the economy”? Must keep consuming, must keep consuming... even if it is bad for us... because the economy. Must feed the beast.

Neutral: Absolutely bring Cash for Clunkers back. Just skip the part about crushing the old cars. Pay the dealers to refurbish the viable trades and donate them to those in need.

1st Gear: You get a bailout! You get a bailout! Everybody gets a bailout!!

Neutral: At face value it sounds great for someone who is in need of another vehicle when this is all over, BUT it’s only treating symptoms. The reality is that most people cant really afford a $35k car because wages haven’t kept up with inflation.

Cash for Clunkers. Let’s incentivize people to make a large credit purchase in an unstable economic situation. What could go wrong?

WTF Ford. You sell ONE car. Should have thought about your car sales before you killed them off.

go check out the Porsche 911 GT3RS.
