You’d get traumatized for breakfast too if all you wanted was a nice bowl of eyeholes and then some asshole in a cape shows up and starts screaming and punching you.

That Anne Frank. “Me, me, me.”
Born to stab.
It would be great if you could zero in on an actual point. From what I gather, optimism is bad, and Nazis deserve a seat at the table? Do better to make a point.
Disagree. It was an A grade episode. The only thing worse than someone who gets mad at a review score like the reviewer is obligated to think like them, is someone who does it providing ZERO support/reasons for their viewpoint. You unsupported thumbs down of the show gets an “F”.
“I was traumatized, Summer, okay? Your generation wouldn’t get that.”
clone option for beth: yes
Yeah I am with Vicki/ “real Eleanor” on that. She should have had that part instead. You don’t have a Ferrari, and keep it parked in the garage!
The assembled idiot demons and their irritating demands SO reminded me of one of Pawnee’s town halls!
Thank you! I also am happy for me that Tiya Sircar as Vicki/ real Eleanor looks to be more in the mix this season. I love her antagonism to the demon/ actress that is cast as Chidi’s “soulmate” this season, and how much she is pissing off Michael with her complaining and being a diva.
Tahani’s OG torture was that “Jianyu” wouldn’t talk, as in, he couldn’t praise her. Chidi’s OG torture was lying and breaking all his ethical codes for Eleanor. Jason’s OG torture was not having access to Dynamite Cheetos or whatever people in Jacksonville eat.
I think Vicky actually likes Chidi. Nice bit where she dissed his ‘soul mate’ by just dropping her pizza on the table.
Having one of her sister’s celebrated artworks hanging on the wall in their cramped little home was a perfect little torture/callback to last season.
Anyone else catch on to this exchange?
Chidi: “It’s so interesting that Hawaiian pizza is so popular here”
Angelique(?): “Yeah I guess a lot of the residents here love it.”
**Camera focus changes to Angelique looking directly at audience**
“Kinda makes you think what kind of pizza they must have in the bad place, huh?”
I love that the whole system falls apart so quickly because Michael doesn’t have any of the four humans quite as figured out as he thinks he does. I mean, he can figure out that Tahani will be tormented by a small house but not that setting her on such a quick downward spiral will wreck his plans. And I continue to…
I really hope Vicky gets more screentime. She is so funny. Her desire to be involved in Chidi’s torture was so great.
I don’t think the demons had nearly this much interaction with the humans before. The beauty of the soul mate scam was they tortured each other without help. They’re never going to survive a long con
I cackled with glee at Chidi going back to the almond milk as the cause of his eternal damnation.
While I thought Tahani’s tortures were perfect, I also thought it was just too much too soon. Michael wasn’t wrong with what made her unhappy but he just overloaded all of them with so much! Come on Michael, you know better!
While everyone’s tortures were interesting - except Eleanor’s, who’s uckily saddled with a meathead who goes to the gym at the drop of a shirt - Tahani’s made me cackle with glee. Short soul mate? Small house? Discovering why Crocs have holes? Absolute perfection. I could see a whole episode of her trying to deal with…
