Not necessarily burger-related, but if it's your sort of thing, I'd recommend a pilgrimage to New Glarus. The brewery has a lot of updated facilities, and I think they've really kicked up their offering to a whole new level of awesome.

You've covered a lot of ground! I also really like these:

Adblocker is basically destroying the journalism industry, so, I'm sorry, but I can't agree on this point.

With our weather here, margaritas sound pretty great right now.

Third week update on hefeweizen samplings, now with rankings! New biers in bold.

What have you sampled so far? I'm happy to provide additional suggestions, if desired!

Pretty much all of suburban Milwaukee, really. And the Fox River Valley isn't all that great, either.

Anything can be a sandwich, with enough imagination and willpower.

I've found that some pretzel buns can be a little too substantial and chewy, but I definitely approve of the flavor.

I think there's also a lot of regional variation in Germany, so there are probably some versions that are closer to the American version.

Luckily she's spent most of her post-drivers-ed life in Wisconsin and Minnesota, so she's avoided developing most of the FIBs' inane driving habits. I always get a little nervous when we drive down by her parents, though.

Never been to Wisconsin

Hear hear.

I like to poach them in crappy, malty beer, like Budweiser. Then I finish them on the grill. I usually just add onions.

Don't get me wrong, I love andouille. I just want to establish that first.

I gave a brat to a FIB once. Now she's Mrs. Noodly Appendage.

I live in Minneapolis, and I often go to Whole Foods, but mostly because it's only a few blocks away from where I live. It's close enough that I can walk if I'm not getting too much, or a really fast drive. Meanwhile, the nearest Asian grocer is about a 15 minute drive away.

I do think there is a balancing consideration here. It's not just about considering the victims' families. We also shouldn't be inadvertently legitimizing meritless and harmful hacks like Jones. I think a really talented journalist could pull off a valuable interview here, but I'm not sure that's Kelly.

I don't see why not. I think this preparation will probably work for just about any fish, so long as it's not too lean.
