The fact that you exist with your attitude about streaming and rental services is the very reason I think this article is wrong and Straw hat is right in their thread; game ownership is not going away anytime soon. No need to feel threatened by people who have different gaming values than you. You got people on the

I mean Gamepass allows you to download titles in addition to streaming, which I think it a good compromise. Not to mention you can still purchase games physically or digitally (with a bonus discount too).

It really isn’t like having to drive all the way to another store, since ending one subscription and starting another takes all of a couple minutes. Go to one site, cancel, go to another site and start a new subscription. Really doesn’t take long to do at all, and at most it takes a few minutes once a month.

Netflix is still cheaper than cable and has good value in Netflix exclusives, but if you want to match the breadth of content that Cable (or new netflix) had, then you have to also own Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Peacock, HBO Max, CBS All Access, etc.

Explaining Game variety to Nintendo fans is wasting your breath.

He’s just going to sign up for the next Mario-themed shovelware with everyone else.

You lose access to a game that you were renting.  The person is criticizing rentals because they’re not given permanent access to the media they’re renting.

There’s a real air of intentionally misunderstanding how any of this stuff works in those numbers. With emulation it’s never going to be as simple as just plugging a disc into a new machine and expecting it to work. MS has made an absolutely herculean effort to not only preserve but upgrade a significant portion of

You don’t get games yanked away from you at ‘any time’. They tell you what games are leaving at the end of each month. When you start playing a game you simply check if it’s a game that’s leaving the service soon.

Up to you, it’s your face to lose. I’m just suggesting you reconsider, it’s pretty uniformly regarded as shady. Creating the fake impression of support somewhat undermines your trustworthiness.

I confused FH4 with F4, which I would have freely admitted to and owned up about, except your being a little punk about things, and your overall point is still wrong and not well-founded in the least. So, congrats on not lying about F4 while lying about Xbox's BC.

Really? It seems trivially obvious to me.

100% of Xbox One games work on the Series X, so, so much for escalating dwindling support. Microsoft also has a team dedicated for 360 games to be BC on the One or Series. If the game isn’t BC, it is likely to blame on the publisher.

such a shame you can’t buy all the games on game pass if you want

Listen, I get not wanting to take a loss on hardware, especially when every other attempt (barring the Index, maybe) has failed miserably.

That said, Valve has spent the last 20 years making BILLIONS off the backs of other devs/publishers, and has done absolutely fuck all because of it. They make hundreds of millions a

lol get the fuck off our site

If it’s video games I will! Sorry to see you go, but not really.

Full Offense. And if you think all I write about is race, I’m sorry you missed all my Resident Evil Lady Dimitrescu thirst blogs.

like I said I don’t care at all, doesn’t matter to me what Netflix decides to do, I’m perfectly content without it. But Netflix is losing a lot of money not doing it.

I don’t really care about Netflix, but they’re losing a lot of money not developing an app for Switch.

What’s a Wii U? Is that the tablet thing for Wii?
