Monopolization perhaps, but I think Microsoft has been demonstrating more variety than average in terms of the type of content they are producing and licensing for Game Pass. Similar to how TV variety has experienced a boom under streaming, the shift in the metrics for success with a subscription model seems to me

that’s where I’m at, Microsoft was a turd for a while when it came to how they treated their studios but the new leadership has been very good to let developers do what they want so the hope is this ends up being a net positive for Bethesda games (and hopefully if the games end up as exclusives it’s the push to get

Torn here. Similar behavior has done a lot of harm in other industries, and US antitrust enforcement in modern times is near non existent.

It doesn’t help that one of 2's strongest assets was its characters. Marcus, Wrench and the gang were all likable, relatable characters.

I think most streamers don’t stream that long. Eight hours, regardless of if you’re wearing a mocap suit, is really hard. And I pretty much never watch one streamer for that long.

I just can’t get over the idea that the average streamer is expected to be on air for 8 hours a day. Not even old radio DJs or news show people ever did anything that long.

A few counterpoints: As others mentioned, you could buy the game outright (you get a discount, but on PC you’re forced to have the game as a Windows App), and additionally plenty IPs outright owned by Microsoft whose games will likely never leave Game Pass—I’d be shocked if Master Chief Collection ever leaves the

I mean, the game was on there for nearly two years before this announcement so I’d say you’re just nitpicking at this point.

Well, you can still buy the game, anyway.

To be fair, the game had been on Gamepass for over a year.

It was added to GamePass in December 2019. A year and 3 months I think is more than enough time to fully enjoy this game at a leisurely pace.  Plus, if you played it and enjoy it, they offer a discount on buying it before it leaves.

I’m pretty confident that if your only objection to game pass is this (i.e. you’re not worried about finding enough variety in games for it to be “worth it”), you’ll still spend less money by keeping a game pass sub and then just buying the game outright in case this ever does happen to you (especially since you get

Streaming at the TV refresh rate is not the same thing as doing VRR over a stream. If your PC is powerful enough to maintain a solid lock to the TV refresh rate no matter what game you throw at it, that’s awesome, but that is far from a general-purpose solution for people. I suppose you could argue that VRR isn’t

As well as the other way around. Xbox Series X|S controllers work on the Xbox One too, including Share button support. Which is why they’re just called “Xbox Controllers,” and not “Xbox Series X|S” controllers.

So, both do not have an advantage over the other as far as next-gen (current gen now?) exclusives.

And, correct me if I’m wrong here, the XBOX one controllers work on the series x

Can you stream in 4K at 120FPS and have the refresh rate of the stream sync with FreeSync on the TV?

Sure, almost every PS4 game works on PS5, but no PS3 or PS2 games work on the new machine.

Where is your TV located relative to your PC? What do you do when you need to sit at a desk and use a PC for PC things? Can you hear your PC’s fan? Does your PC support eARC? Can you see PC LEDs while using TV? Can you just turn on your Xbox controller and boot directly to a game on your PC within 5 seconds, including

Having a better UI and Controller also helps swing things in the Xbox’s favour
