I should warn you, the guy you're responding to is weapons grade stupid.

You are a fucking idiot. I strictly play single player games and I’m on my FOURTH elite due to strict drift and my third set of joycons.

That would have made French painter Paul Delaroche pretty fucking stupid, but not as stupid as someone who equates prompting an AI to a daguerreotype artist.

Hah, yeah I wasn't even going to bother fielding that one.

Are you insinuating that stick drift ... isn’t real?

I’m imagining a distopia, where all art is AI. There is no human-generated art, so AI has to scrape images from other AI. It gets worse and worse until eventually, all AI generated images are just crabs.

Oh sure, typical dog person needs reassurance that they’re a good boy.

GTA is a bit of an edge case. It's popularity is so great, that they'd probably sell as many season passes as games, if it were understood that DLC was coming. Especially as some kind of deluxe edition at launch.

Nonsense. The author said they didn’t want to pay to rent. For the couple hour movie, they aren’t going to order a physical copy and then go through the hassle of selling after. Jeezus, nobody wants to start an Etsy store just to watch movies, and practically nobody is trying to build a physical media collection

Oh I’m not arguing that there isn’t a lot of lost media, or that preservation isn’t important. My own example is that you cannot get all of the Adventures of Pete and Pete, or the VHS version of Fast Times, which has a better credit roll song than the DVD/Stream version, etc...

Also, I’ve never found buying anything by a major manufacturer anything but trivially easy on Amazon. Just go to the official store and buy it, get it from warehouse if you want it cheaper, done. You only run into the dropship bullshit when you’re trying to buy an item with no brand like “sharpening stone” or “cat

“buy it physically” is a very weird take for “I want to rent a movie” which 99% of the time you’ll watch one time. “Just rent it” is probably the right answer.

“makes them feel smarterer without having to actually ever say anything of substance”

His writing prowess can only be described as Wiseu-ian. The only type of good this will be is so bad that it is...

Maybe this is a hot take, but who cares? These characters are completely devoid of personality. You’d be trading one voiceless playable avatar for another.

It depends on what they're advertising. Everyone buys things.

That depends on what you mean by “have to”, because your second statement contradicts your first. ROI is usually the reason for everything every company does. Microsoft will do exactly what they think will result in more money. If PC is cross platform, then it will mostly be cross platform. If they think bringing more

More ways to travel around vast expanses of procedurally generated monotony isn’t going to help, or get me to re-install the only Bethesda game I haven’t finished.

I loved Alan Wake, and the American Nightmare standalone, which are absolutely worth playing, and provide essential backstory.

“action adventure romp” is a very weird way to describe the first game.
