Could definitely be right. Microsoft has shown more willingness to go cross platform than Sony, so anything is possible, but you're probably right on both.

Since Kotaku can’t be bothered to list platforms on the year’s most important article about new game announcements, here ya go:

PLATFORMS.

I’ll wishlist it and wait for it to go on sale or show up on GP. I’m definitely in, but this is definitely a “the more patches the better” situation.

You said you prefer it, but you didn’t give a single reason why. Other than portability, it has the worst resolution, lowest power, very limited storage, awful storefront, and the worst controller by a wide margin.

The Switch continues to be the best place to play first party Nintendo games, and little else. I’m sure there are exceptions, but pretty much every third party game is better on any other platform. If portability is your main draw, or you have no other console, then it makes sense. Mine lives docked except for the

Even that becomes a little iffy, as generations cease lining up (Nintendo does its own thing... where do you put Playdate? What about the Steamdeck, is it even a console? Do PCs get gens?) I agree there has to be a better way.

I wouldn’t go that far. Unless your game is a system seller (which is about 3 games), you would be committing business malpractice to leave out the majority of the installbase. This isn’t a new phenomenon. Even back in the before time, Sega made a version of Sonic for the Master System (and Sonic came out several

It was offhand snark, but if you need an explanation, here goes:

You literally called the previous gen, “previous gen.” Surely whatever proceeds after previous is current.

Arguing over current gen is a different animal altogether, because we currently have multiple generations in play. But surely next Gen is whatever is next, yeah?

Alright that was funny.

I won’t deny it, it definitely has a different feel to it this time around. Scarcity has been a problem for a while now (I remember trying to get an og switch) but this Gen had been through unique circumstances.

It's because of the way online took off. They'd have been nuts to put down their cash cow before milking every last drop.

You've just made his point.

Not surprising.

I’d finally have a reason to undock it.

Also adblocker on mobile does the same thing.

Fair enough, it’s definitely perfectly playable in 2D, but it loses something. I’m R-G colorblind, so I’m always losing something too.
