Huddling into a herd is a standard anti-predator tactic. As far as weather goes, usually reindeer have more to fear from cold precipitation than from lightning, so huddling helps manage a clear and present danger. Sometimes, though, Gaia just wants a funny video for YouGodTube.

Now playing

False equivilancy. This killed AN ENTIRE HERD of reindeer at once. Wolves NEVER do that.

This needs more stars.

That’s why you shouldn’t try to fly through a thunderstorm

The plan also calls for better enforcing of the 2008 Mental Health Parity Act, which directed that insurance providers cover mental health and substance abuse treatments the same way they do medical and surgical ones.

also: ALL of my fellow squad members are voting for Trump. it is mind-numbing.

I’m a volunteer EMT in a struggling inner city, and it quickly became apparent that my job is to taxi mentally ill people from their home on the sidewalk to the ER, where they will stay for 48 hours before getting turned out onto the street again. repeat until death or imprisonment.

Yes. So important.

“The plan also calls for better enforcing of the 2008 Mental Health Parity Act, which directed that insurance providers cover mental health and substance abuse treatments the same way they do medical and surgical ones.”

The one thing I hope gets addressed by this is the mental health issues of the homeless. It seems like on some levels it would (With police interaction in particular), but I keep hoping there will be at some point reform of what St. Ronnie gutted.

Also, as I point out every time this gets brought up, as an autistic, the idea that you’d rather your child be dead than like me, is fucked up.

There is literally no acceptable answer to “should I vaccinate my child” that isn’t “yes, you idiot. Unless you have been advised otherwise by a real doctor with a real MD from an accredited medical school because of diagnosable problems”. Any waffling or pandering to their “feelings” about shots is going to embolden

And that’s a problem, because they are idiots, and their idiocy is puting people in danger.

Jill Stein’s comments on vaccination are proof that not all dog whistles are race-based.

She has repeatedly refused to clarify her stance. Basically, Stein is pandering to anti-vaxxers by being vague. Vaccines do not cause autism. It’s a consensus, and skirting the issue is downright dangerous.

The “vaccines would be good if they were safer” argument IS an anti-vax argument.

But if a lion had been killed, that would be a big cat-astrophe.

I edited this, but it didn’t take. Basically, she’s been waffling back and forth to please anti-vaxxers, and it's an open and shut case.

She tweeted, then deleted the tweet, and keeps waffling back and forth. It’s not really a question.

I’m all for animal rights. I adore my dog. I only buy humane certified meat, eggs and dairy.
