If she did take her own life because of mental illness, that means the cops were aware she was a suicide risk and should have put her on watch. They should at minimum be implicated for not protecting her sufficiently.

This reminds me of the 3 prisoners at Gitmo that were “determined” by the prison to have committed suicide by hanging themselves in their cells on the same night, despite the fact that they were found with their hands tied behind their backs, gagged and covered in bruises and track-marks.
