That is definitely a lot worse than the time they tried to sell ice to Eskimos.

Well, nothing is 100% effective, but anecdotes =/= data. Questioning of muggers and other criminals directly attacking people has yielded good research into why they choose the targets they do.
Thats BS! I have heard that over and over again, yet I am selfconfident and have had so many experiences with guys disrespecting my borders, just because they think they can, they’ll get away with it or that it is somehow “normal”. More than that, I have experienced to be harrassed way more when I walk around…
It’s blatant truth that criminals look for weak/incapable targets, like people wearing headphones or someone with shoes that make it hard to run. This still doesn’t make it right to yell at the victim that it’s their fault.
Eh, I’d be a little more accepting of her answer if she didn’t try to pull the ol’ switcheroo of “we should be paying attention to this crisis, not something silly ‘ol me said!”
Ok, not listening to her opinion on anything ever again.
If she had only discussed her views on her own rape, then fine. That would still be wrong (it was obviously not her fault that she was raped), but she’s allowed to feel a certain way about her experience. However, she did make it clear during the interview that women who are raped and wear less clothing are asking for…
I feel bad for her if she’s dealing with this stuff, and it’s pretty obvious that her opinions have been informed by her own trauma and how she subsequently dealt with it, but as soon as she opened her mouth and stated these things as though they’re universal rather than just applying to her, in her own mind, she…
I know she is an iconic figure, but seriously, she’s right - since when did she become an authority on rape? I don’t know why we expect our entertainers to be paragons of virtue and sages when they’re famous for being entertainers. Let’s worry when actual “authorities on rape” spout nonsense, not when aging rock stars…
No, it sounds like Blood Relatives.
My mom and I had a casual conversation about the proper disposal of bodies for minimum detection in an upscale furniture store.
I LOVE the reenactments. My favorite, hands down, was a reenactment of Mary Bell where she’s bullying her little friend and says; “I would hit you but it would be animal abuse.”
I too hate the reenactements. They are so over the top. And they look nothing like the actual people. It’s like they didn’t even try at the casting call.
I really like The Perfect Murder, Blood Relatives, Fear Thy Neighbor...it’s actually been awhile since I’ve watched the channel because I got a Amazon fire stick. So I’ve been binge watching a ton of shows this summer.
I haven’t really watched any of these true crime shows since the “Autopsy” specials with Dr. Baden on HBO went off of the air. I preferred that show because it was mostly science-based. Yes, they showed unedited and gruesome crime scene photographs, but they only spent about 10 minutes on a case for every hour long…
I was just about to give you a shout out!!!
I don’t know why I torture myself with Id Channel shows and Criminal Minds. I live alone and continuously freak myself out.
