Anytime I modify a new car for the first time, I accept that I’m making it worthless and should plan on driving it forever. Maybe I’ll be wrong and will be pleasantly surprised down the road, but I think its a good policy.

Really good point. Also generic (but well proportioned) cars are more fun to work on. You can add little touches of flare. On a modern type R, there’s so much flare I want to remove things.

Goddamn... I’ve gone that fast on public roads before TBH. but never near anyone and never around a turn. Still seems a bit harsh punishment wise. He didn’t hurt anyone other than him and the girl. And didnt destroy any property but his own.

An old design professor of mine would “rescue” old molested sports cars. by buying them, removing all mods. He had an old Aston Martin that he even had all the paint stripped off and repainted to the original color when he found out it had been changed. Pretty cool, albeit expensive, approach to car modding.
