What the actual fuck? And then, the realization that thousands believe this... And then, the realization that he is deliberately playing this role.

Yes, and — incredibly crazy idea incoming — what if we tried to appeal to the millions and millions and millions of people who don’t vote rather than trying to pick off eight Republican moms in Florida who are against black people existing but also think Trump could be a little nicer sometimes.

Ron. This is your last warning.

Respectfully, I have two cheers for this sentiment.

JFC, THIS!

Seriously. I'm sick of this shit. We have little power because - spoiler alert - we have little power.

Exactly. Or you could look at like like people always assume that every Republican/Republican leaning independant are full MAGA hat wearers when there’s still a bunch of them who voted for him because they hated Hillary or just couldn’t pull the trigger on voting Democrat. Those are the voters in the infamous

Most people bought the Barr spin that Trump was exonerated and there wasn’t anything else in the report. Because nobody actually read the thing, including almost every member of congress AND the press, there was no push back on it. Mueller just came out and shot down the original spin and said out loud that Trump

Real life isn’t a fucking Aaron Sorkin show. There are no such thing as thunderous monologues that win the day.

It’s not clear to me how getting Mueller to make some public statements about his report that ran clearly counter to Trump’s characterization of it hurts anyone, and I haven’t seen anyone saying they thought this would be some Aaron Sorkin monologue-esque moment where Mueller scored a fatality on Trump’s Presidency

Yes and no. The intent of the policy (and it's policy, not law) was to prevent frivolous lawsuits against the president that would distract or prevent him from fulfilling his duties. I believe some of the thought was, if the president was committing crimes, he'd be impeached, then could be charged. I don't know that

It’s not even a law! It’s a standing DOJ opinion!

if you, like me, operate under the assumption that Pelosi is a Quisling whose primary objective is to prevent progressive policies from happening, this is not a revolutionary idea

I agree in geenral, Ron, but I guess it’s just depressing to see the Democratic Party leadership waiting for some kind of magic sign from above or something to start using the power we fought so hard for in 2018. It’s starting to get not just depressing, but also really creepy.

Oh oh your plan is to whimper “softly?” And somehow it never occurred to you that McConnell may still hear the whimpering and use that as evidence we’re all antifa communists? Please, the actual pragmatic solution is to hide in a locked closet and try our best to get Evanescence’s Wake Me Up Inside going through our

the most pragmatic stance of all is to huddle in the corner, whimpering softly, for fear Mitch McConnel might call you divisive if you didn’t

Times when the national debt has been the most important issue to America’s future and a disaster waiting to happen that we must avoid at all costs:

Gotta love how the Democrats idea of compromise is giving the GOP everything they want and expecting nothing in return.
