Not to mention the apparent supposition that there’s virtually no way Kansas State could have either stopped OU from going 38 yards nor won in OT.

Complaining that the cameras caught it? Seriously? Are we upset when the cameras catch whether they drag their feet for a catch, or whether a fumble occurs before being down? Darn technology
So let me get this straight. The Jets would have rather played an injured player who can’t give 100% than a healthy player at 100%.
“They’re treating the
talentemployees like shit.....what a shocker” EveryVince McMahon employeelaborer ever
You could have stopped your comment at “Nobody is watching the XFL” because nobody will watch the XFL
One look at how quarterbacks were treated as the stars here, and everybody else was chopped liver, and I was like “...yeah, this is a Vince McMahon production.” Specifically, the same Vince McMahon whose first attempt at the XFL went down in flames, largely because he completely misunderstood the game of football.…
I mean they could do that, but at most they what, bump up the pay $10k for the rest of the players on the rosters?
This. If anything, the XFL should take the opportunity its terrible QBs present and invest in other position players that can make a marginally interesting balanced game rather than pouring all their money and hopes into umm.....let me see...Matt McGloin? Ooof.
Why pay QBs $500K? Spread the wealth around to the other players. It’s secondary league/offseason football. Nobody is watching the XFL because of the QBs who can’t make 3rd string NFL practice squads.
Dear AAA Video Game Publishers,
yes.
I enjoy soccer, so I don’t mean this as the knock it sounds like: it’s the lack of (cathartic) action on the field. The fans are passionate and the game is 99.9% not-scoring, so the tension builds and the fans have time to get on each others’ nerves. Add to that the fact that groups of away fans tend to congregate…
Less provincialism? That’d be a guess on my part. We are a fairly mobile people. Lot of people get up and leave their hometown, so how many people living in Philadelphia are the 6th or 7th generation to live there. Sure, some, but there are a ton of transplants to the city. Having visited some old European cities, I…
why do we not have these kinds of brawls here in the US?
Just to hazard a guess but fans don’t travel as much in the US so you’d rarely have a stadium broken down even as evenly as 70/30... It’s hard to get a true pandemonium scene with just a few scatterings of fans.
It’s going to get lost in the rest of Trump’s mistakes, but maybe they really were sending their best.
Right-wing charismatic evangelicalism is probably a better way to term it, since what we’re talking about is semi organized politically oriented conservative Protestant groups. I don't tend to quibble when Americans use "evangelical" as short hand, even though it's not a good use of the word if it is meant to really…
Two words: Cheap. Grace.
Trump has violated 18 U.S.C. sec. 1512 (Tampering with a witness) so many times in the last three years I’ve lost count. Easy section to add to articles of impeachment. If convicted once he’s out of office* the sentences range from 3-20 years depending on the intent of the tamperer. Would be nice if orange is the new o…
