As a fan who waited over a decade for Final Fantasy 15, and who has been playing Diablo since the first game (and who made the mistake of getting Hellfire), I’m personally glad they didn’t tease us with D4 when it’s not ready to be presented yet.

Since they’re only just announcing it, I’m expecting that the gameplay and depth will improve over the development process.  I’m really looking forward to playing the final version!

If the fans look at the timeline of game creation between D1 and D2, and between D2 and D3, they would realize that six years isn’t that long at all, and Blizzard is at least giving them something Diablo-ish to play if they’re willing to put down the laptop and give the phone games a try.

Incorrect assumption. As a member of the fanbase who has played the diablo-like mobile game Heretic Gods, I was actively wanting (and asking for) a mobile game that was actually part of the Diablo lore. Blizzard is now developing a mobile game that is part of the Diablo lore.

Except that there was no lie. Blizzard announced a Diablo game. It wasn’t the game the fans were expecting, sure. But theyou announced a new chapter in the diablo franchise to an audience of diablo fans who are too self entitled to realise that blizzard could just as well have announced that there wasn’t enough money

Ecept that some of actually wanted a mobile game and now gave to watch the rest of you crapping on blizzard for giving us what we asked for.

Although it may not seem like it, amidst all the vitriol l, there are some of us who very much appreciate seeing a voice of reason posting on this issue. Thank you.

Except that this logic is flawed. What they’re actually doing isn’t taking it off HBO. They’re announcing that in addition to the new season that IS STILL BEING FILMED for the next release on HBO, they’re also filming some side Story webisodes of things not covered in the main series.

In this case it’s fanbase whining. I'm glad blizzard response to mine and some others request for an official mobile game (rather than the mobile diablo clone I've been beta testing ) was to actually get on making one.

As one of the Diablo fans who literally was asking for a mobile version,  I'll kindly ask you to take back your assumption that literally no Diablo fans wanted/was asking for this game.

I believe that logic to be flawed. This is more similar to SE giving KH fans union x when fans were begging for kh3. It doesn’t mean they stopped working on kh3, any more than blizzard stopped working on d4. They're giving us something to play while we wait, and ppl are whining about it.

Kngdom Hearts fans waited for KH3 for years. (We are still waiting. ) instead of forcing us to keep waiting, SE released a mobile game with constant content updates to help us pass the time while we wait. In the meantime there were also a great many KH and Final Fantasy games in the works, for consoles, mobile, AND

This. The Netizen gamers are basically flipping out that blizzard is giving us a mobile game to pass the time with while we wait for them to finish up the masterwork that will be Diablo 4.

Speak for yourself. I am a member of said core fanbase, but I am also on of the fans that actually REQUESTED a mobile Diablo game. I’ve been playing a half finished mobile clone because there wasn’t an official one from Blizzard yet.

Setting aside the obvious racist stonewalling, which shouldn’t have happened in the first place, I think the reason for the police being called was because of the secret video tape. In MA (and about 11 other states), recording a conversation secretly without the consent of the other parties involved is a crime.

His post (that you quoted) literally says that he planned to work on emulating the portal (not the figures). I read that as he planned on using what he discovered to make a workaround that would allow him to essentially go “portal free” with his xbox 360. With a graphing calculator. That’s not ‘bypassing the need to
