Yeah, Caddy's misguided new leadership jacked up prices (because price = quality!). Unsurprisingly, sales did poorly despite the ATS and CTS being nice cars. But the problem is if the BMW or Audi is the same price, people are going to just get those. If the Caddy is just as nice and 10k less— THEN people will by…
Nothing looks nicer than a clean 928 (sadly, nothing will bankrupt you faster than an unreliable one). A proper engine swapped one is the rare massive improvement on a Porsche (that and 914 engine swaps).
Sorry, I meant putting the LT1/LS into a 928, as there are tons out there with bad/dead V8 engines. That way you get the gorgeous looks with an actual functional engine.
I believe you are right, my thought was if you are modding that's what you take off, not the iconic pop-up headlights.
Nope, revenue generation for states and localities. Insurance companies also lobby heavily for this, and state legislators are surprisingly easy to bribe/lobby.
140? He would have been feed into a wood chipper in Virginia for that.
Those headlights and bumpers are so terrible. And while V8 engine swapping a 928 makes a ton of sense, not sure why you would to that to the relatively well regarded 944 engine.
And then a few sensible people realized that maybe you don't want your nukes controlled at the tactical level, because its isn't like just "one" would be used. Same issue with nuke AA missiles and depth changes.
$62950 according to this:
So how is this not a crime given the amounts involved?
This was pitched as a "merger of equals" and it doesn't really seem to have turned out that way. More like Daimler just sucked all the blood out of Chrysler
"But wait" you say! "Porsche just launched the Cayman GT4 which is more powerful than the base Carrera." Yes they did, but the 3.8 L motor in the GT4 is detuned from the Carrera S, andit only comes with a manual, which makes it slower than most 911s
Or just buying some Hyundias and badge swapping them.
Aussies got the Ute thing right. Loved the one they had on this seasons Top Gear.
Interesting, I have owned a E46 M3, and E90 M3 (DCT sedan) and a E92 M3 (coupe). None of them were especially problematic. And I have not seen any indication that the new M3/M4 have been either. Now out-of-warranty ownership may be a different thing, but in warranty a M3 should not have more issues than the…
But Ford makes its money on trucks. Just about every Ford dealer would go under immediately without the trucks and SUVs. They simply don't make enough on Fiestas, Focus et al. If it were not for CAFE I imagine Ford's line-up would look very different in the US.
"So the ATS-V, powered by a 455 horsepower twin-turbo V6, will come in awfully similar to the M3 and M4. The sedan starts at $62,000, and the coupe starts at $64,200."
Step 1: de-chrome the wheels
High end sedans in general are getting pushed aside for high end CUVs and SUVs. See e.g. Porsche's best sellers.
