An expensive, heavier, slower convertible executed on a platform not designed for it? Oh boy! This is just a dying car brand exec trying to drive up some free PR. We already have the Miata, we don't need a terrible half-ass Scion version. Not that they remotely could even make it (the business case alone would

VW sales were down 7% last year (although, after a a couple of great years) and they're starting to improve their products but… but…

He's not the Stig, he's the Stig's Prius driving cousin!

Aggressive incentives, and atypically strong resale values (although finally dropping back toward normally for many models) can make a new car worth it.

Neutral: Do Insurance Costs Play Into Your Buying Decision? If so, how much?

For some reason Chrysler and the UAW declined to comment on what's happening but… uh… does Fiat own all of Chrysler right now? Anyone know?

Not to mention the US is getting a much heavier version. Plus you can buy a used FRS for $20k now. And was this car "specially prepared" like the Ferraris testers get?

I laughed every time that car went backwards unexpectedly.

The current drama is that Germany's trusted ADAC (something like their AAA, only more popular and political) faked their annual "Yellow Angel" award for the favorite car in the country. The award went to the VW Golf, but only because ADAC rigged the vote.

I own a BRZ and its fun, if underpowered. But the large production run means they are unlikely to be valuable down the line. I do think they will have a long time fan base in amateur motorsports as the perfect starting spot (ala Miata).

Thanks Matt! I had only been able to see comments off and on, when quoted.

BMW makes so many models its dealers can't show them all.

Acura Beak. It killed the brand. Horrifically ugly, and emblematic of the clueless arrogance of Acura "management" and the slow death of a brand we all once loved.

Its more accurate than not. After a promising start, the Infiniti brand is kind of a bust. The All-Q All The Time branding strategy was a blunder IMHO. And thinking they are going to be the Japanese brand to take on BMW is simply delusional. Right now they need to try a close the gap even a little to Lexus and

And little girls want ponies. Both are equally likely.

That blue coupe may be my favorite thing from the Detroit coverage so far.

Indeed, coming soon to a track day near you. Lots of C5 Vettes.

Don't forget the track monster Z28 in White

With the Vsport turbo engine added to that killer chassis, I might be that car's huckleberry.
